Spoilers! Time For A Change. ( superdeath spoilers )

Wetbandit moved next to a city, Mr.Cairo moved roughly half of his garrison into the city that wetbandit moved next to. SO... i moved my naval stack into a position that threatens his MOAI and his Vanillaisis.. Mr.Cairo can probably take out a decent amount of my ships thanks to airships being stupid. However, any ships he tries to put in the way id HOPE TO GOD that Wetbandit uses his nice battleship/destroyer fleet nearby to finish them all off so i can raze a city or two without fail. I have the 2:1 ratio currently vs the defenders of Vanillaisis and they have no anti-tanks. Before bombarding the 37?% defenses, im getting 25% with my tanks. Im expecting better odds this time around.

If we manage to stop Mr.Cairo's win, im going to need to ramp up navy production on the big sea to compete with wetbandit. He has a couple more cities on the coast than i do which is worrying in a potential final showdown. JR4 is likely to coast his way into more Mr.Cairo cities, but im hopeful that wetbandit doesnt allow that and they clash on land. Id be fine with scooping up the rest of DZ and using that production base to slap them with a "concede for the love of god please" heh. Pictures next turn if they are requested OR if it looks like i can raze his legendary city.

Military advisor will be included in this post. What wont be included in this post is a filter if these units dont turn around:

Im under the impression one of 2 things comes to mind here: Either A. JR4 doesnt realize just how close Mr.Cairo is to winning. If this is so, he needs to up his EP spending/realize the commitment that Wetbandit and myself have already shown and help us... or not even try to begin with or B. He wants MC to win, and is going to start taking my cities. Im roughly ( providing i dont get something weird like an open borders with MC, and drop my transports off and run the units back home... ) 20t from having a sizeable defensive force. Namely, Artillery. His coast will burn if he gets to that point.

Anyway ill spoiler the various screenshot categories i have coming up but i do want to say.. besides the obvious extreme pacifism ive seen in this pitboss, the not saying a word for 2 days and then not playing a double turn while not at war with anyone x50.... Ive had a ton of fun. Ive made a shitload of mistakes in this pitboss, but i also tried a playstyle that im not used to. With a leader i dont think ive ever played before this pb. It was fun, and with the info i have now, i know to build OP airships in the future for easy defeating of navies, armies, and more! I do hope that this game being on EMP with this particular mod of RTR is the only reason why the tech speed has become so obnoxious.  i dont think together at this stage we have the research power to tech the rest of the tech tree before time victory. Therefore my goals in this game are as follows: Get more GG's. Get Flight/Radio ( and fascism first to ) and then full scale military build up. Can i get there without being slammed by Wetbandit's modern army, or JR4 deciding to attack me? WHO KNOWS!

Combat logs:

I thought i had plenty of ships to protect my transports.. ( i think i only lost 1 fully loaded transport tbh ) Between the initial airship crap that of course didnt get intercepted despite  a .. 30%? chance from each of my 12+ destroyers... his battleships all did collateral that didnt hit my transports which id hoped would soak up a bit of it.. INSTEAD all my defensive warships actually were the ones to get hit by it, and thus continue to die to his fleet. Well now his fleet is all but gone on this coast. He has 2 transports, and 4 ironclads left to his name on this ocean ( not counting the ton of ironclads he has by his capital ) He still has a small-ish fleet on our little sea that i should have eradicated soon.

#1 in population, that means i win right? Or does that just make me China/India..

Preparing to start teching again as any units i make after this wave wont make a difference vs Mr.Cairo.

He stocked this SoB up even more.. so i cannot take it now. I can only hope that JR4 turns around, and Wetbandit survives any potential stack clash with Mr.Cairo enough to still threaten the capital OR his Yokel city.
I give him roughly 5-6t till he wins this. Which is JUST enough time ( maybe? ) for JR4 to turn around and help put pressure on.

So close on an artist here..

So close to an Artist here as well.. He has 2 to spare right now, so i do not get JR4's hesitation?!?

Airships. If Mr.Cairo wipes this stack, it is because of Airships. The fact that interception doesnt just KILL theses SoB's is what is pissing me off probably the most. ( other than them being able to not only SCOUT 8 tiles away, but also bombard... how is that realistic? )

QUESTION FOR LURKERS. Counting barracks only ( no civics, no west point ) How many GG's does it take to make a commando factory for Tanks? How many does it take if you have CHA? Thanks! ( im really lazy right now )

Mother.Fucking. WHY. We needed all the help we could get to pin down troops and force Mr.Cairo to make hard decisions. Turning back was a huge mistake, which could have maybe been overturned by rushing back across the border and trying to get to the capital in time to help. That would have been the smart thing to do. Hell, id almost rather he just sat his pretty little army in the middle of his territory/sent it after DZ than do this.

I... I..... I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE LOGIC. How pacifistic do you have to be?! Driving me to drink is his objective now? 4t till Cairo potentially just wins. 6t or so if he doesnt get that GA pop. I honestly dont think we can beat him at this point. Luckily its close enough to him just "winning" that it might as well play out..

Spoilers for all the bullshit screenshots and ect.

Please take note, when looking at his land that he has roads still.

Half of his stack is delayed probably an extra turn due to his lack of railroads.

I THINK ive setup my transports to force Mr.Cairo to make a hard decision this turn. He left Sparta empty, but i didnt have any units in my 2 transports there to raze the city. He also bunched all of his ships up in 1 spot making a potential attack vs them amazing.. However, he knows this. Is he wanting another GG for something? Im building one last battleship to collateral down his stack HOPEFULLY winning the first 1-2 coinflips..

Anyway back to the original point. I have all my good units waiting to help out Wetbandit incase Mr.Cairo attacks out of his capital and the rest ( plus an additional transport loaded with tanks being built across the sea... ) will threaten Vanillaisis. If Mr.Cairo gets unlucky and doesnt get his GA from Yokel, MAYBE.... JUST MAYBE... JR4's tanks will be right outside of Yokel when MC wins. .. ... popcorn

Seeing that Mr.Cairo either wins in 2t, or basically will lose.. i decided to drop off my 60+ tanks on the shore near his capital 2 tiles away. This will allow my tanks to hit his capital without the amphibious penalty + being 2 tiles away, he cannot hit them AND still be in the city. ( right? RIGHT? ) Well maybe his tanks.. But, im hopeful that this move will ensure that Cairo has to empty all of his cities to bolster his capital against Wetbandits 80! Artillery. I still have a good chunk of units ( 35ish? )  holding down some of Vanillaisis's units from moving. Im hoping that Mr.Cairo has to move most of the anti tanks to go and deal damage to one of mine/wetbandits stacks instead of leaving them in the city..

If worse comes to worse and i cannot burn Vanillaisis, and mine + Wetbandits stack doesnt break thru his capital... ill probably just burn JR4's MOAI city out of spite. Would certainly make me feel better about his whole involvement. JUST INCASE we end up winning this, ive been building siege +units instead of just teching right away, as i suspect Wetbandit + myself will be militarily neutered and JR4 will have a huge opportunity to take some land. Hopefully... this is when Donovan decides to strike him smile

Plus as you will see in the screenshots, DZ is prepping for war again.

Yokel already went legendary and has a 70%+ chance of a GA at EOT. Vanillaisis is "currently" 3t away from it but i suspect it will jump to 6-8t after Yokel. Not that it matters unless JR4 decides to do something .... /knock on wood.

So many unit builds, when he was "checked out" before building research while having his civ on 100% wealth builds? Maybe he is thinking about revenge now.

Seeing as war hasnt been declared vs DZ and DZ hasnt declared on anyone. IS THERE A GOD DAMN REASON WHY HE STILL DOESNT PLAY A DOUBLE TURN??? Clock games is all i can think of. He would have a sliver of reason if he was running a HUGE empire akin to like pb46 OH/Rusten. 6hr turns back to back would suck. But im just not seeing what he could be plotting at this point tbh.

Not that we are waiting on him alone this turn, Wetbandit missed his window? Or something to that degree. But still, the point remains.

1st place in PB43! Realmsbeyonds Longest Running Pitboss! Mr.Cairo!

Congrats to Mr.Cairo for figuring out the following: Airships are OP ( at the VERY LEAST, when coupled with insane tech costs ) Collateral works about as well as congress against a huge stack of collateral immune units. Apparently knew that JR4 is super mega passive. ( which differs from my pb39 view of him somewhat... till this pb )

Tied for 2nd place, due to sheer size/economy/production: Wetbandit/Superdeath.

I couldnt really find any reason why either of us should be below the other. I have an undeniable production edge, he has the cities and towns to compete. We both have access to JR4 for easy splitting..... He has access to DZ more easily, i have a commanding score lead. .... Woohoo?

3rd place JR4.

4th place DZ.

Congrats to all those that participated. The ending was kinda shitty for numerous reasons, but i want to commend Mr.Cairo for a very well executed finish. Wetbandit you faced probably the biggest defeat, followed by the greatest recovery ive ever seen in a pitboss. Very well done. DZ, i do apologize for my bitching in thread regarding turn pace. Im.... not one of the busiest people in the world so i have to pick SOMETHING to bitch about. Im sorry we couldnt work more closely in game.

JR4, im probably going to be a little salty for a while. Justified or not, it is what it is. I hold no hard feelings EVER, ( cept sometimes vs commodore <3 ) but i think that you were a bit passive in this game when you could have maybe made gains and been in a more commanding lead/changed the game had you pushed vs Wetbandit, or myself, or Mr.Cairo at the end. But, nonetheless.. GG all!

HUGE PICTURE DUMP:

Just to show 5 GG's settled. Sadly, this has MOAI + heroic so no West point to add frown

Shitload of defenders, that i dont think we could break thru for several turns ( ESPECIALLY with most of my tanks getting obliterated along with all my other units losing nearly every single combat )

53 MG's, not that many attackers left. Attacking in this era just plain sucks.

Fell to 4th in power this turn. Yippie.

Top 3 cities having such hilariously low population is comforting.

LOOKY WHAT I FOUND GUIS!

Wetbandit's Commando factory i THINK is up now? I havent checked. 5 GG's + westpoint, is he running vassalage/theocracy? Wont matter now, but this would be my #1 target to hit with transports if he turned against me instead of JR4 ( had we taken care of Mr.Cairo.. )
