For those that already filled in their votes in the spreadsheet (Amicalola, Mr. Cairo and Mjmd). I've added columns for "No score" and "City count tied to espionage"

The advantage of making the spreadsheet was to include no score as the default to get Ramk in!!! Seriously I just hate having to care about PBSPY. I would be up for city count not being tied to espionage with so many people.

FWIW, No Score is currently winning the vote at 6-0. I’d say it’s pretty safe.

Edit: that’s also without a Ramk or Mjmd vote, so really it’s more like8-0. Which means Ramk is also pretty safe to join!

I have a concern, which is that no score might make it much more difficult for people to know if it's time to concede. I would like city count to not be tied to espionage for that reason - city count and alphabet will give people at least some idea of how far behind they are.

I think that the limited form of diplo we used should be more formally codified instead of lurkers occasionally saying "oh yeah, fish for fish is an informal NAP offer". Having some commonly agreed-upon and written set of what-means-what would be helpful.

E.G. Iron + war offer would mean requesting a dogpile, or something

The case for events: these big games can be pretty wild already, and chances of winning are way lower. So why not fully embrace the chaos?

Well the no score option was never intended to solve any problems regarding conceding. Rather it was meant to equalize the playing field between newb players or players who can't do extended C&D due to time restraints and all players who can do those. In addition it gives an advantage to the attacking player, because the attack can't be telegraphed via whips.

Also wanted to say that I agree with civac's post.

EDIT: Also I'm curious what the argument is for Monarch or Emperor?
