My first thought would be warrior 1SW on to the hill.

Anyoen good at that tile bleeding?

I SW doesn't reveal much though, does it? I probably favor moving SE.

The way I see it - settle in place and hope for a non-junk food. Work the 3-hammer tile and build a worker. Alternately settle on one of the plains hills and hope for a 1/2/0 tile to work.

Yeah I see 3 choices
a) Settle in place (should get 1 other food in existing BFC)
b) Settle 1S or some other place where we settle on T0 but get the 0/3/0 tile in 1st ring for expansive worker bonus.
c) settle on that plains hill S-SW

In terms of worker production, we will have our first worker off the hill in

a) 5 turns of 4f-hpt, followed by borders popping to get the PFH, then 8 turns of 5f-hpt, worker done on T13
b) 5f-hpt, worker done on T12
c) 6f-hpt, worker done in 10 turns, +1 turn delay - done on T11

Ah, that oh-so-common jungle silver tile crazyeye

I suppose unless the warrior reveals anything we should settle in place, work the plains hill and build fast worker.

Warrior 1SW only reveals tiles we'd settle anyway if we settle in place. We should move worker 1SE.

Moving warrior north reveals if there is another food resource in the row above the sheep that we'd miss out on if we settle to the south.

Bronze Working is 216 beakers, so that's 17-18 turns depending on if we're workign a commrece tile

But I think our position is: settle in place unless warrior reveals food. If the warrior reveals food in those tiles then we get them for settling in place anyway, so we haven't gained anything from moving our warrior north.

You don't think it's worth exploring the possibility of setting S-SW onto the plains hill?

I agree. I want to move, but only if moving guarantees us food.

That's just not possible unless we delay settling for a turn (at great risk). The only way we'd reveal tiles in the BFC of the plains hill spot is moving the warrior 1SW. We'd reveal 2 tiles that way (the others will be blocked by hills or forests), both of which are forested and both of which we get anyway if we settle in place!

Our two trees are:

Warrior moves 1SW and reveals a food in the 2 forested tiles (deer?). Then we can settle plains hill with 1 food or on the spot with 2 food, a silver and fresh water. Settle on the spot easily wins.

Or warrior moves 1SW and reveals no food. Then it's still best to settle in place.

Given that we settle in place no matter what the outcome of the warrior move then that cannot be the best place to move the warrior.
