I wish I had a day off to play civ! To anybody who might be on the fence. I've only had a small sampling so far but the 2 wonders do appear to lower the difficulty level. Don't be scared off by it.

I've heard this sentiment a few times. There's no such thing as being late to sign up here. I'll give out saves anytime up until Friday before closing day (just because I'm traveling away for Memorial Day holiday weekend.)

T-Hawk - Can we get meta in our requests for saves? Could I ask for any of the following:

1) The most popular combo
2) The first combo from a list I send that hasn't been done by someone else
3) The first two wonders from a list I send that have not been chosen by anyone else
4) Two wonders at random

I can see 1) and 2) being spoilers, since I would then know what exact combos at least one person chose or didn't chose. 3) is a partially spoiler - I'd know if a wonder was chosen but not a wonder combo. 4) is a fallback and seems pretty safe to me.

Good question sunrise. #4 is okay but otherwise I'm afraid not.

#1 is right out, that is using groupthink to help your own game. #2 and #3 are both too spoilery for my comfort. Both could leak a large amount of information, in skipping potentially several dozen entries on your list until landing in virgin territory.

But I understand what you're trying to do in dodging the crowd to make for a more interesting report day. How about a modified version of #2. Send a sufficiently large list of combos and I'll assign one at random that has not yet been chosen. Then you don't know anything about the combos you didn't receive. All you know is that yours is unique to that point, which it may not even remain going forward. Sufficiently large would be on the order of 25 entries; you can easily get 28 by picking 8 wonders and taking each possible pair.

Would anyone object to that?

I think your proposed "sufficiently long list" would be fine; 25 is a decent minimum.

Sadly, since I already sent in my proposal, I can't do that.

To guarantee uniqueness, you'd have to request a save determined by T-Hawk's procedure, and ask for the very last save--right before he heads on vacation--to be sent to you.

If you relaxed the "uniqueness" condition from "that has not yet been chosen" to "that which has been chosen by few--if any--players". That largely removes the spoiler aspect and the save would still meet this new condition if sent today.
