Leaving aside your other changes (as they probably are not to be discussed here), this one caught my attention. I am really not a fan of swimming settlers, for obvious thematic reasons. If you play with Insecticide, the AI will cast Waterwalking or Flight or Wraithform as soon as possible on its settlers. So maybe naturally swimming settlers don't make that much difference - only for Wizards that don't start with Nature or Sorcery spells.

First, thank you from the bottom of my pea-pickin heart. MoM is THE best game ever, and you made it better.
I honestly would contribute to your efforts if you'll let me know how--I truly appreciate your mods.
I have occasionally had units disappear, mostly summoned units. Here's the scenario: early game, summoned two spirits and a sprite by about turn 40. The sprites joined another overland group of two, and clicking next turn a few times they just disappeared.
I've played Mom a VERY long time, and I manage mana very well, and did not run out of mana or get a message. I realized at the same time I had lost my two spirits.
I am running a 1 year old version of DOSBOX on a Win 7 laptop with reasonably updated drivers; could memory management cause this, or has anyone else seen it?
I have the save game after it happened.....
Thanks!@

"Swimming" settlers does not bother me , I figure if an Empire wished to expand and it was not on a coast, its settlers would have an "imbedded" component to get around, ie rafts or small boats, so not really swimming, moreover a stronger protective defensive capability as well since they seem off by themselves frequently(the AI ones at least). But that is not the for patch to add , love the editors to add what one thinks should in their game.
But more Waterwalking or Flight explains a lot. Oberic is regularly depositing halfstacks or more on my continent and there are no ships I can readily see, so he must be using the aforementioned spells

Aside from thematic reasons to avoid swimming settlers, there's a gameplay one. It's not immediately obvious, though.
The AI now does a fair job of enchanting settlers with Water Walking or Flying. At least compared to official version. But if AI is capable of using Water Walking on settlers, it's also in position to send water-walking reinforcements ! I don't think it's cunning enough to do that on purpose, but it may just accidentally send a water-walking stack at the same time it's sending settlers. So, it can end up sending supported settlers, if only by chance. Capture a city founded by water-walking settlers and you may face retribution.
If you make only settlers able to swim, then most of settlers AI sends over a pool of water will be on their own, with no hope of protection, reinforcement etc.

Hey,
just wanted to say that I played with your patch and really like it!
One time I had my starting city on a node - I don't think that happened in the unpatched version. I did not save that game though (was cool actually: all wandering monsters had to fight against the pool creatures, I did not had to defend myself...)
Bye,
Zett

Sorry, no idea about dates and updates (same goes for MoO).
Apologies simone & many others, I am locked in between many things (no computers). I had about 10 hours of free time in last month, sleeping aside. And I cannot tell how fast it's going to improve.

Don't worry, we all appreciate ANY time that you spend on it, whenever you can
