Agreed with Kyan that 5-6 is the way to go. Perhaps some of the people who had concerns re: obligations can team up? I'll give a more firm yes, but I am willing to drop if theres too many interested participants and wait til a future game.
As far as setting go, I think we should go for very basic. I'm all for flavor starts, but someone needs to vet them a bit, Malakim getting some 8 FP start or a Doviello player being stuck in tundra might sound like fun for the lore, but there's no need to play out the game, since we know how the game is going to end. But other than a bit of editing for balance, I think a pretty normal map is the way to go here. Restricted leader/civ pairings work best as well, I think.
Might be fun if we could draft our dedlurkers since we won't be able to draft civs.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Kyan Wrote:Oh, i meant to say before, PBEM's get a *lot* slower per additional person so i would heavily advise 6 people at the absolute max. 4-5 would be preferable. I don't know how that would affect gameplay at all but it's a big step to ensuring at least 1 turn per day. Smaller number of opponents ups the power of civs like the Clan or Doviello. It's easier to choke the life out of the world, if said world is not numerous The same goes with game speed, it's easier to play a warmonger if your UU warrior doesn't get obsoleted in few turns due to tech pace.
Btw I can lurk someone, especially if said someone has good overall civ skills. The team-up with Warrior Knight seems to work surprisingly well in pbem III.

I haven't even installed FFHII. I would be perfect for this game. I'll see when I can get it to run.

Either way, thanks.
I can allways Ded-Lurk if wanted, With the amount of people playing the FFH games in progress i'm sure there will be enough "veterans" although i wouldn't count myself as perfect in that regard.
Looks like we have nearly enough players. I saw someone mentioning wanting a lore heavy map, everyone like the sound of that?;
All Unique Features
Archeon? (maybe...)
Slight Balanced Lore Starts
Show of the differences from base CivIV?

Overall though i think your requirements are little too strict. The best way to start a new game is to see who here is interrested and then go on from there.
Anyway, despite having 2 exams coming in may i'm interrested in participating in another one. I can also ded. lurk someone if you'd like, although don't expect much from me.
We could allways do a Apprentice / Veteran game, Two games using the same map/civs and can't lurk each other... start two games at once? *shrug*

My scout explored a ruins, lizardmen popped out and bang, im done. This game is brutal. Sounds like fun.
No-one can resist the lure of the "explore dungeon" button!

Hey Nicolae! we've got just about as many Noobs as we can handle right now. Antitwelve origionally expressed interest, but hasn't showed up. If Antitwelve doesn't show up soonish, you're in.

Let's start everyone next to a dungeon (that doesn't spawn barbs right?) :D First lesson for a noob game: When to press that shiny button.

When you rush your scout to the opponent's capital, declare war and then pop it? :neenernee

Sorry for the double post guys, but i thought i should answer this.
My requirements aren't that strict at all. Anyone who considers themselves a Noob at FFH (preferably not players from the other games though). We've had a wide variety of "noob" skill from Rawkking Goodguys Emperor level playing, to Kyans 'got beat on turn Zero (:neenernee)'
course it doesn't really matter now, because we have about the number of players our sytems can handle...

If I do end up signing up, I have dibs on the Sheaim.
Anything else would be a travesty.
