* Allow promotion saving
* (?) Allow policy saving
* Disable start bias

The rest can be left at default

Also, what about difficulty level? Prince/King? As long as it's Prince or higher, it shouldn't affect much, apart from the bonus against barbs

You think promotion and policy saving are fine to have on? I don't know myself but I do know you used to be able to do some silly stuff with them, and they made them unsaveable in an attempt to combat that stuff.

Start bias I don't care about either way.

What does the difficulty level do in MP? Just barb bonuses?

Hmm, I think I remember now, there were some exploits related to policy saving. Not sure what exactly, but probably safer to have it off. Don't see any problems with promotion saving though, that's what we do in Civ4 all the time, and I don't think Civ5 is much different in that regard

Difficulty levels - http://www.civfanatics.com/civ5/difficulties - looks like nothing except barb behaviour is affected in MP after the first 3 levels (i.e. starting at Prince)

Um full heal promotion . . .

Atleast thats what I think he is remembering

On the second thought, with the ability to insta-heal instead of promoting, saving promotions could actually be a problem

Thanks. smile I don't suppose anyone knows what the "No tech trade modifier" is? Seems like the only non-barb thing that might affect us on prince and up. (Google failed me on this one.)

I think there are some left-over values from Civ4 in XML files, and this is one of them. I believe the advanced start option is also unused in Civ5, but is still present in the handicaps
