It's so hilarious and worth sharing a laugh about that I will quote the findings from my thread here verbatim:
SevenSpirits Wrote:The demographics look like they will be useful so I did a bit of searching. Some people on CFC figured out the military formula. And it's completely absurd.
You add up the power values of the units, which are based off a 3/2 power of their base strength with some extra effects of promotions. Then you sum that number for all your units, take the square root of it (!?) and multiply by 200. And there's some effect of gold too, which I didn't understand because the people were talking in jargon they had developed over the course of reverse engineering this formula.
Haha. Ha. I'll leave that for someone else to figure out later.

You should be glad I gave you a little "help" in this regard. In exchange I got some culture. It's win-win!

Wow. Haha indeed. Why didn't they go with a simple formula like in Civ4??

Scouts don't count as soldiers! I'm so sad about his death I would've been glad if you killed my Swordsman though

This is AI diplo only, correct - so no comments about in-game activities to be posted here?
obligatory denouncement:
Yuri, from my capitol, I can nearly smell the foul odor emanating from your twin air pollution producing cities of Boeing and Airbus. In utter rage from their proximity to these cesspools masquerading as cities, our scouts nearly grabbed some industrious citizens of England and throttled them.

This is the banter thread, you can post about any and all in-game situations
That being said, I would prefer no one try to do actual diplo, and just keep it to threatening, insulting, mocking, and generally trolling each other.

The diplo rules:
Quote:* AI Diplo, Civ V style. You can make any trades you like in-game. All communication must be done in the Public Denouncing Thread. You aren't allowed to be nice, or cooperative, or friendly, or at all positive in this thread, and you may absolutely not negotiate anything. Just be selfish and distrustful and antagonistic and backstabby. Imagine you are roleplaying a Civ V AI from when the game was released. (Note: This doesn't mean you have to roleplay the AI when actually making in-game deals and e.g. spend all your money on a single luxury. It also doesn't mean you should actually hate the other players, just the empires they control.)
Thanks for subbing! you scum.

.....Well, I'm sure they'll have a lot fun traipsing through the Persian highlands trying to get at me. My archers could use the target practice.
Your presence was heralded by a group of wounded barbarian brutes my archers ran across and dispatched - pity your own warriors weren't fit enough to finish the job they started.
Go back to your forests treehugger.
