I would assume so. It's tough to pass up BW with this much food, too.

it might be that the fastest way to oracle is agri->hunting->wheel->pottery->BW->meditation->priesthood and whip a holkan for a ton of whip overflow, then going back for AH.
That's a little dangerous, of course, and means we aren't working the clam for awhile, so that might be bad. I dunno..

If we want Oracle clam is a red herring. I got it @T42 just now but I saw some inefficiencies as I went.

Can get it at EoT 40 w/ 4 workers and 2 cities. Also a bunch of warriors and Holkans. The primary limiter feels like it is the commerce needed to tech everything that we want first:
(057) Agriculture
(038) Hunting
(115) Bronzeworking
(057) Wheel
(077) Pottery
(077) Meditation
(057) Priesthood
----------------------
(478) Total
100 Hammers for the Oracle. We can get 4 forests into it, which is 13 * 4 = 52 or half the hammers. Our capital at Size 6 can show 18 PPT, or 3 turns of production (54) with a mine on that plains hill. If we micro our overflow correctly...

EoT 37 now. And yeah, commerce needs are killing us. Experimenting with builds that include Fishing to work the lakes while we're growing in the capital. Takes a while to get pottery, but we need it to bulb metal-casting and the road lets us go one more pop so we can speed the oracle up by a turn with a 2-pop whip.

I'm going to see if I can get it down to T35, but that's pretty much as tight as it can go.

EoT 37 is pretty damn good for Oracle.
Do we have the ability to get a forge built so we can get a GE before a GP?
At some point, we should talk about how we want to play this game ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) I'm a builder at heart, but I am certain we are going to end up doing some stomping (or getting stomped, if things go poorly, of course)
I think we want to expand peacefully until rifles or cavs, right? We definitely want to avoid war with NA in the beginning, and war with everyone else in the medieval/renaissance period.
What do you think?

I'm more of the builder mindset as well, but there will obviously be conflict. My goal/preference is to be the first to drafting and just go from there (Musketeers + Steel or a beeline to drafted Rifles). There's another inflection point at Knights/Cataphracts, but I think our goal should be to survive the early game while getting our snowball going.
I can't really get it below T37 w/out being unable to bulb metalcasting due to a lack of critical techs (Pottery or Bronzeworking). ![alright alright](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/alright.gif) .
I'm going to explore the T37 space and see what we would prefer, though I think it'll have the shape of 4 workers and a group of warrior/holkans so we can transition immediately to settler spam.

Just for giggles I ground out a sim where we landed Pyramids on T48. Too slow I think, though it wasn't optimized at all. That and there are 2 IND teams in this game, Oracle might go to use if both INDs are racing 'Mids, no need to compete for the #1 prize of the ancient era... right ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) ?

Does the T37 plan involve getting a settler or two out along the way? I'm wondering if we should go for meditation before wheel or pottery to pick up the religion faster.
I dunno if we should or not.
