Opponent Analysis: Nakor
Let's have a guest make the comment this time (PB16 spoilers from NH/Gaspar's thread): We just need to wait to see what player will play the role of the ferocious deinonychus this time. We all now Nakor's role... Disclaimer:
We can see our start! Can you log in, Darrell? I can't do it for quite some time (and here's hoping my notebook can handle the map).
Dude, I don't even have the mod installed . I'll get off work, go home, feed the kids, take the boy to scouts, do HW with the girl, make a few (few = 3) pisco sours, install the mod, and THEN I'll log in and see the damage. If the wife is in the mood other things might get inserted into the plan, so I can't give a firm ETA.

This is all fault of the lazy mapmaker that didn't even post starting screenshots in the threads! Front: Mickey Sheehy (Kerry), Kevin Heffernan (Dublin), John Joe Reilly (Cavan), Pat Spillane (Kerry), Martin O'Connell (Meath), Tommy Murphy (Laois), and Sean Murphy (Kerry). And only one wuss soccer-ball player amongst them (clue; he's the skanger)

Fear not, friend Darrell! You can keep enjoying your tasty pisco sours, because I managed, against all odds, to log into the game.

Start seems good. We have a resource that we can improve right away and we get the EXP bonus to workers by settling in place. The unforested hill can be a good tile to build workers/settlers before we have BW (if we decide to delay it for some reason). I'm at a bit of a loss regarding where to send the scout. Maybe send it north, since I think we shouldn't move away from the hills if not for some awesome tiles in the fog. So, we check if we have these awesome tiles... Though settling 1S means losing the EXP bonus until we have a border pop, so it's not that desirable either... SIP seems like the easist solution . |
