Hey - can I suggest that we send around a quick 'dummy' turn so that everyone can be dealing with their first turn issues at the same time ... or grappling and working out what they want to do at the same time.
Obviously, we'll all have to wait for the official first turn to actually turn up before we can implement our game plan(s).
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

OK I sent everyone a copy of their first turn save (minus any previous players moves of course), which everyone can use to look at and get familiar with their civ and where they are in the game. Everyone can now have a few days to get up to speed and get a plan or whatever, before the game really gets going.
It goes without saying to just use this for your initial turn planning, and not to try and look at other player's private empire (It's a casual gimmicky game for goodness sakes), and an additional reminder to make sure you do not mix this file up with the real save when the first turn does come around, so that everyone's moves are properly recorded.
Okay I think I'll hold it till sunday then. Got a lot to think about.
Also because I need to know our diplo settings - AI diplo or email ones (my vote is on AI - we are after all AIs here, right?)
