I will follow with interest, thanks for doing this Sullla. I was sad to see there will be no reports but I totally understand the situation. I am amazed you did the previous ones. I do have a question about the videos. Will you also upload them to the youtube channel?
Thanks,
Kalin

While I'm a big fan of K-Mod and certainly don't agree with Sulla that it or the mods we use here for multiplayer are "completely new games in their own right" and not Civ4, (e.g. the gameplay balance changes in K-mod are infintesimal), I think that this tournament wouldn't be any fun unless it were played with base BTS. Any longtime Civ4 SP players gets to know the AIs like they were people around your neighborhood... Isabella as the crazy old church lady, Tokugawa as the cloistered hikikomori, Montezuma as that asshole who flips out when you park on the curb in front of his house (you don't own that curb, buddy!), etc. I've always thought that was something that the Civ4 AI didn't get enough credit for - even though they don't play so good in general, they at least play different enough to be memorable and distinct.
Looking forward to this, thanks Sulla.

Agreed, in fact these personalities we know so well seems apt when we consider the Survivor analogy!

Really small suggestion, since I don't remember it being a setting last time: How about letting Choose Religions be a thing? You're not writing reports this time around so it won't make them take longer to write and it'll add some perceived variety to the usual Buddhism/Hinduism/Judaism starts without actually changing any gameplay.
Quite excited to see this around.

I think GermanJojo did a better job of summarizing how I felt than I did myself. Very nicely said.
Just a quick scheduling note: I will probably be looking to do the leader draw and map creation for the first game sometime on stream this Saturday. I want to fiddle around with Google Docs and put up a notice for the website before then, which will likely be tomorrow or early on Saturday. Keep an eye on this thread for more details.

I'd like Frederik the Great of Germany, Peter the Great of Russia, and Queen Victoria of England.
Just sayin

Looking forward to this, thanks Sulla. Totally agree, this is what makes the competition interesting to me.

Test submission form is up and running now on Google Docs:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1f_ifdsA...Q/viewform
Submissions should automatically go into a spreadsheet for easy recording. With the additional cleanup in place for the Excel code (thanks Jkaen!) hopefully the administrative side of things should be vastly easier this year compared to last year. Leader draw and map selection for tomorrow should be happening on stream early afternoon EST.
Should be a lot of fun.

Ok the random choice is up, without me even knowing who's in the draw.
Winner=Leader 6
Second=Leader 5 (after rolling a six)
First to die=Leader 2
Wars=15
Win type=Domination
Win turn=123 (can't see that happening but the RNG speaketh).
Edit: Sullla how do you know who's whom? I didn't have to give my RB tag when filling out the form. You may want to add a field for that.

Out of curiosity, what are the RNG parameters you used for # Wars? I assume Win Turn was 1-500.
