Where did you grab BUG 4.4 from? I can't seem to find a copy and my local copy will not start.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

First religion fell - hinduism. I wonder if it was Mr Cairo ... as he also flipped to slavery on the same turn. Delay in revolt to not lose an important turn? If so, then it went into WaitWait
My bet is that everyone has capital within 3 tiles of their capital.

Hrrm. It looks like you played after superdeath last turn, and then again before him this turn. I'm not sure how long it's been since you were involved in a pitboss here (I know you've played a bunch of PBeMs, but I don't remember if you've been in a Pitboss more recently than PB1!!) but taken-for-granted standard wartime practice is to observe a "turn split," never playing two turns in a row between the turns of a war opponent, either during the war or just before declaring. There are lots more details in this thread. I don't imagine you double-moved intentionally to gain an advantage, but wanted to make sure the too-often-unspoken rule was clear. I think superdeath suggested letting him double-move you back (once, and then continuing normally from there, with you playing after him each turn until the war ends) assuming nothing has already been done that would require a reload to undo it. Do you happen to know if that assumption holds true?
(Also, you never know! Even if your civ is doomed, you might find bugs relating to losing battles, cities, improvements, and/or the game!)

Just lost Delhi. I am doing lots of winning here! First to found 2nd city. First to lose a city. First to lose in combat while defending. First to lose in combat while attacking.
That is lots and lots of winning!! First Archer completes this turn. 2nd Archer completes next turn. Should be able to churn out archers for each turn over then next 4. Will I survive?
Can I log in and promote my archers?
What happens if I set my promo option to AUTO ... does the AI auto promote when the turn rolls.
What am I talking about with promotions ... they will come out as rank novices ... except for my Defensive Trait  . Maybe I will hold my capital for a while and stop SuperDeath from winning.

You shouldn't log in at all unless it's your half of the turn split.
Auto promote is fine and is commonly used by players with the 2nd half of the turn split. The AI will promote for you at the start of turn. Might not be the promotion you want, but sometimes that's better than not promoting at all.
