T94 is in, aaaaand:
Very pretty
. Yep, if you look past those annoying tile yields you'll see Colossus, Oracle, and Pyramids. You will not see a granary no matter how hard you squint
. In the city:
I set it to a granary, but I'm second-guessing that right now. Honestly, how much will the granary really help at this point since we don't want to whip the city anytime soon? Library or Trading Post seems more valuable right? Would like to hear your input on this. Running through the other cities in no real order:
No use for WB quite yet, so I swapped to the cottage temporarily. I would use coast if we had a Trading Post here. The stone meanwhile goes to SoF to speed the settler by a turn:
Pretty sure this is the right call here. Also, coast over cottages is probably worthwhile here, depending on how close those are to leveling up. Once the settler finishes we'll probably want to get off the mines and stone and grow a bit. Made a choice at Baskervilles here:
Here's the thing here. Getting off the grass mine for coast speeds growth up by a turn but slow galley by a turn. However, the galley would just be sitting for a couple turns, so no big deal right? Thing is though - the city will grow into unhappiness soon so I'm considering swapping back to the grass hill and then starting a settler next turn before it grows. What do you think about that? Actually, nevermind, I'm going to login after posting this and swap back to the hill and go ahead with that plan to build a settler before size 6. Finally, demos:
More of the same - stellar in GNP, mediocre in most other metrics, and LOL in land area + soldiers. Wait, we are AHEAD of somebody in soldiers?!?! I'm kinda confused actually - not sure how that's possible.
