[SPOILERS]Novice, Spacemanmf and Athlete4life10 are HUYANA CAPAC OF CHINA

Ok, nothing wrong with some extra muscle. Incidentally, given that we have some beakers to spare, Big Slick can presumably stay on the wheat for T47 rather than the cottage floodplain.

Do we not start building the Oracle until two or three turns after getting Priesthood?

We need to wait for the forest chops.

Thought so. Does that mean we have a couple of turns to spare tech-wise? Not that we need them.

Your third picture isn't working for me, by the way.

Hmm, it's definitely all quiet on the score & power front recently. I'm expecting a flurry of activity in the next few turns. Everyone's ripe for a tech, plus Ruff and ad hoc should have settlers on the way soon.

Looks like it. Not sure anymore why we needed extra commerce earlier, I think we had to slowbuild the first turn of the Oracle in some early version of the plan.

Anyway, earlier AH will benefit Nut Flush Draw, so it's all good.

I guess we can start thinking about our development plan post T50.

To figure out the "best" plan we need to decide what to optimize. Some thoughts:

PB will be a kick-ass city and needs a forge, granary and temple. It should be kept size 4 at a minimum so we can work the yummy tiles.

BS will have insane growth but lacks happiness.

Hooking up gold, gems and ivory are top priority.

Settle Pegasus' border first.

We need to scout south and north (by boat).

Tech wise we need Mono pretty soon to bulb Theo for a temple in PB (free missionary goes there). Then figure out what we can pick up on the way to have CoL and Maths by the time the second GP pops. Calendar and Literature would be nice.

If HG is still available at ~5 cities we should have a plan to chop it.

So you want to settle green dot before white dot?

In terms of scouting north and south by boat, we won't have coastal cities for a while yet. Probably two of cities 5 to 8, I would have thought.

Big Slick has a lot of forested hills so that could be a good wonder-chopping city.

We need some more workers once we have built our second settler. Plenty of tiles to improve!

Just wanted to say that the thread is a fascinating read. Wish I had the gumption to plan ahead as well as you guys do, but watching it all play out is really interesting.

I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Thanks man - good to hear. I have been tracking your PBEM12 thread with interest.

In reality, novice does the planning ahead and I say "that sounds alright" or, on occasions, "what about this?", to which novice would normally reply "that's ok, but doesn't take this into consideration", so I say "you're right, let's stick with the original plan". lol

Looks like the save has circled back round to Pegasus so we should get it back again tonight.

So what turn do we get our first Great Prophet? Stonehenge was completed EOT34. Oracle expected EOT50, by which point we will have accumulated 32 GPPs. So a further 17 turns at 4 GPP/turn gets us to 100 GPPs overall. So EOT67.

The next set of techs to go for are Writing, Maths, Monarchy, Code of Laws and Iron Working.

We should (just?) be able to get Priesthood, AH and Monotheism done in 24 turns (from the completion of Meditation), at which point we can move on to Writing. In the meantime, we can concentrate on workers, settlers, axemen and granaries.

You're welcome, and thanks for lurking, guys!

Spaceman: Monarchy is NOT on our immediate tech list, we need to delay that until after our Civil Service bulb. If we need more happy than what gold, gems, ivory and christianity can provide (I doubt it), we can go for Calendar.
