{SPOILERS} 2metra, Dreylin & OT4E. This is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Turn has rolled; if either of you can log in in the next 6hrs or so, it would be good if you could do so to offer Open Borders to the others. That way they are more likely to be connected this turn for a faster return on the routes...

Otherwise I will do so at my usual play time.

dtay is killing his economy. This last city stole 1/3 from his research. If he wants to plant forward let it be. I thnk that this last city is a mistake. He cant maintain much defenders, so in my opinion we need to push our boating plan. That city is really good and important and this might cripple his economy even more. He is building workers and settlers, I doubt he has much unit around. We could form some kind of attacking group or make a fake attack on the center front city to make him pull of defenders from the coast.

I think that we still need to try HG, it is more important than planting front. And we need to develop wonder location. May be we need to repriotize from Theo to something else, but we cant think about any wonder if we dont finally plant this city.

OK, that all makes sense. Still unsure about HG, but am fine with giving it a go next in 54. We're still planning Currency next, so we have some time left before we commit to the Theo plan (although I am still in favour at this point).

Settling priority is important though; do we go for the island city, or effectively cede it to AI/REM? Agree that one of next 2 Settlers should be Wonder; with 54 on HG, Samarkand is our next best place to pursue one - although I was also thinking about starting one in Rhodes at size2 working Corn & Sheep for 9fh/turn while we wait for borders to pop after the Barracks (will also work off Whip Anger).

Also, should we push a Worker + guard into the forest between the 2 new cities to chop it before dtay's borders grab the tile?

HG recovers investments. About Theo I only worry that we dont have time to build AP or spread too many religions. They nerfed having own religion in this mod. May be we need to focus on creating some plan against dtay, rushing knights or something. We can borrow AP's religion later.

EDIT: and plako has offered OB, so we have enough trade routes. I propose OB to Commodore, we'd better keep him strong.

Open Borders signed with AI/REM, plako and Commodore. Our current routes are actually filled by AI/REM intercontinentals, but once we get Currency we'll need the extras. I offered Peace again to HAK, though it wouldn't let me tie that to Open Borders.

Not much else going on this turn.

So here are a couple of things to think about:

Commodore offered to trade maps with us again. It's possible that he's observing a turn split with someone (likely dtay), since he rolled the turn and then logged out without finishing ... or this could have been a mistake. Anyway, we might want to take him up on his offer since we have better knowledge of dtay's land.

Also, here's AI/REM's scary defense force:

Meh, it seems not.

Anyway, someone (not met yet) landed the MoM this turn. From the Civstats it's mackoti - probably using the Great Engineer that popped a couple of turns ago.

Horses connect next turn; will whip 54 to finish Settler and overflow into Aqueduct. Samarkand switched to a Settler, and Rhodes will start a second next turn. Oh, and our Navy sailed this turn to finish scouting the island.

Interesting, civstats shows AI/REM losing score over the interturn - did the barbs capture one of their cities?

And we are the proud possessors of the world's first Academy:


Wonder will be planted next turn; how are we going to proceed here? We need the border to pop to get the rest of the forests in; do we do this with a whipped Barracks or a Monument? Are we going to use any of the forests for early buildings or save them all and build the early stuff naturally?

I've got Workers positioned to get going on the Deer and Furs quickly - the extra happy will be welcome. Although I'm intending to offer the Furs to Commodore for his Gems to get the thought in his mind for when he has his others online. We have the second Furs for ourselves.

Settlers due in 7t & 8t (without whips); we should be settling Front & one of the Islands?

dtay turned his research up to full - due same time as ours.

Dtay planted one more city, so I think it is on one of the islands to the south. This is why his GNP jumped.

I think all chops must be saved since later wonders are expensive and we dont have resources for them.
