The commander was unimportant and escaped on his own, the daughter went for a Count from somewhere.

And I beat the Moogles.

There are three reasons I actually won this war
1) There was no big civil war at the moment ( I decided to bribe Prince of Tver few months earlier instead of waiting for the bugger to rebel and squash him )
2) AI split the troops in a stupid way instead of moving in one stack
3) I had a Brilliant Strategist leading 25 thousand troops against 60 thousand moogles led by a Anonymous Commander in the deciding battle.

If any of the three didn't happen, it's highly likely this SG would be over. I had at most 30 thousand troops able to reach the area in time to make a difference. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

This just means that Roman Catholics achieved an objective Pope called for.
