RBP3 [Spoilers] Capac of Mali

Tis done. Tumbling won without problems (2.9) and we moved in on KB:

The mace joined too and is 1N of Posion Ivy (who is 1E of her position above).

Quote:Team Jank,

Mali decided to eliminate your scouting chariot: by moving onto the desert hill, it forked our ill-defended city and worker, but ended up feeling the point of Tumbling's spear.

This was the sole objective of our declaration of war, though we have a couple of units in the neighbourhood of Kalin's Burgers should you wish to assert your prerogative and continue the conflict.

Yours sincerely,

Emperor Capac

Shouldn't we clarify the turn order if they wish to continue the war? Presumably they will take the first half of the turn. Will they end turn in game, or email us when they are done, or what? Can we log in before they've finished turn, and if so what actions can we take?

Looks like Inca doesn't want to fight:

Quote:Emperor Capabc,

I have offered a peace treaty in game. I feel this is the least you can give for eating our chicken pot pie without even asking! Not very neighbourly! Anyways, on to co-existing peacefully!

Athlete for Team JANK

EDIT: I logged in and accepted the peace treaty.

And a reply to Inca:
Quote:Team Jank,

As you will have noticed, we accepted your offer of peace.

Tumbling reports that the chicken pot pie tasted decidedly of steak cheval. Perhaps the Incan food standards authorities should investigate?

Regards

Emperor Capac

10 turns of forced peace will give us some time to build up our forces for a serious campaign against Inca.

T111 Report

The barb warrior chose not to attack, so we did:

Black won without taking a scratch. Happy days jive

We had a barb axe come out of the fog just outside Sticky Fingers, so Jack has left his perch to pursue him. With a Skirmisher in the city, we should be fine.

I set Uberfish's new citizen as a Scientist now that we're researching towards PP. Although we don't have enough cash to finish at the current rate, we should get some funding around T120 if not before.

Other than that, our workers got busy and some chariots did a little fogbusting. Taoist missionary headed back to Sticky Fingers alright Jagger & Tumbling moved back towards Paint It Brown. Jerry moved south: next turn she should cottage, and then join the farmers on the FP.

Paint It Brown won't grow any faster if we work the FPs, so I put them onto the cottage and dyes. We can whip the Mint in 2, or possibly next turn.

I offered some cash to England & Babylon last turn, which they didn't collect, so we might see our reserves come down from the current 168g.

Why do you think we should whip the Mint in Paint it Brown in the next few turns? I don't see anything really wrong with it, it just doesn't seem we need it much and the whip unhappiness won't expire for 6 turns.

What is our ETA on Guilds?

The mint gives two extra happy so there's no problem stacking unhappiness by whipping before the previous whip penalty expires. With 25% extra production and 10% cash, there's a benefit to having the mint sooner rather than later, though I don't mind waiting til it's size 5 to whip.

Guilds is due on T115/6 depending on how much funding is available.

Another reason to whip Paint It Brown sooner rather than later is that we want to be gentle with the whip to develop its cottages once we build them.

City count:

8 - India yikes

7 - Mali, Portugal, Inca, HRE, Ottomans

6 - Bablyon, Carthage, Maya, England, Egypt

5 - Byzantium, Rome

4 - Azteca alright

Now that we can build Heroic Epic, where should we put it? Blake is the only candidate for an immediate start, but I think Steel Wheels has much better long-term potential.

Meh. Played T112, but from reading the tech thread it looks like we might be reloading to T111 anyway. Nothing very exciting happened: Barb axes at Sticky Fingers moved into the forest, spied a new barb on a Southern Desert hill, and bumped into a Praet in the same neighbourhood. Have taken some screenshots so I can re-do the moves.

OK, so there will not be a reload, and I'll post up the turn report later today.
