Regarding last night's diplomacy... to sum up: are we agreed to ask CHASM quite simply for a chat, and to add in a casual line about border negotiations to the Krill e-mail?
If so, it's just the matter of approaching Mali, who we haven't had any discussions with in a good 10 days or so....

I think we should add in to the Krill email an apology about your internet crashing, but other than that it seems good. Considering the situation in the email thread, it might be good to hold off playing the turn, btw.

Two small things on the note to Krill (otherwise they look great).
First: "just as our in-game thread was getting good, and so we have had to put the reply off until tonight" I had to read that three or four times, and still wasn't quite sure what in-game thread meant. Perhaps we could just change it to: "just as our discussion was starting, and so we have had to put the reply off until my internet was back up"
Also, we could mention to Krill that we have not yet met Babylon, but would appreciate it if he could pass on to them that we would like to meet (perhaps also mention that we will have a warrior approaching his NE borders, and if he knows of any explorers of Babylon or other CAN members we have not met we would appreciate directions to them). In essence I guess, ask for directions through his borders, although not exactly worded that way.
The one to Chasm looks good.

By the way, once the game is unpaused, we should request Sailing from Portugal (I would do it now, but as I understand it going to the diplo screen while the game is paused causes problems in pitboss).
