To be honest though, 250 hours sound like your money´s worth, no?

I decided to stop after playing through the 1st and 2nd map and wait for the campaign.

Oh I'm not saying it's not worth the money, it absolutely is smile

The last map is an absolute hellhole, 4th map on challenging is harder than 1st map on brutal. Could be worth trying it just for the experience

Recently completed Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

I'm a fan. Better than the first game, which was already an excellent CRPG in the vein of Icewind Dale & Baldur's Gate. The difficulty is too low even on the higher settings, but the first major patch will supposedly revamp it.

I highly recommend it, with the significant caveat that much of the plot will lose its impact (and likely be altogether incomprehensible) if you haven't played its predecessor (with expansions) first.

I've put 215 hours into Battle Brothers in the past month. It's great.

I was playing God of War and Binary Domain, and I've gained an appreciation for leg sweep moves that trip and ground trash mobs until you can finish them off.

Then I've been playing Overwatch, and I've discovered that I like Junkrat because of his ability to sow terror and chaos in the enemy (also that guy prints PotGs).

Now I'm waiting for the new Path of Exile Incursion league.

To take a break from RPGs for a bit, I'm playing Wario Land 2.  It's different from the main Mario platformer series in that you can't die, and the focus is more on puzzles.  Most of these puzzles revolve around using various status ailments to navigate the stages.  If you see fire blocks, you have to find an enemy that sets Wario's butt on fire and position yourself correctly as he runs around almost uncontrollably.  If there's a narrow gap high in the air, Wario needs to be conked on the head with a giant weight to become flat.

(I say you can't die, but you can still fail in boss fights by being kicked out of the arena.  Some enemy attacks knock you back and make you lose coins, which are needed to unlock hidden treasures.)

Wario Land 2's controls may be a bit stiffer than I like, but its creative gameplay and humor make up for it.  Try it out if you have access to the 3DS online shop.

I'm way behind on this, but lately I've finally gotten around to playing DOOM 2016. I don't play a ton of FPS single-player, but this is definitely the most fun I've ever had with one. The mechanic where you get health via glory kills is really what makes it all work I think. If you're about to die, there's no running away and hiding. You just have to turn up the aggression and go for it. The music also is phenomenal and really fits the game perfectly.

Started playing Bomber Crew because its somewhat in the same vein as FTL. While I like the game, I feel like what I was really looking for was a more gritty realistic version where its more on rails and more strategic crew shuffling. My biggest gripe is that its not terribly well balanced (see fire) and there's not a whole lot of actual shuffling that goes on because you either cruise through with minimal issues or you get shot down. You can't really actually save your bomber if things go really south.

Bought Danganronpa v3 during the Steam Summer Sale; I absolutely love the series. It's like Phoenix Wright, except all the characters are interesting, and you'll wish they weren't because most of them will either be killed or become murderers themselves. Never really got into other point & click adventure games nor Japanese "visual novels", but the writing in Danganronpa is just top-notch.

OBJECTION!

Wikipedia Wrote:a sadistic remote-controlled bear by the name of Monokuma announces that the students will be forced to live in the school forever, offering only one way to graduate: murder another student and get away with it. When a crime scene is discovered, a "class trial" (学級裁判 gakkyū saiban) is held, in which the remaining students must discuss amongst themselves who the murderer is. If they can successfully figure out who murdered the victim, the culprit alone will be executed. However, if they guess incorrectly, the culprit will be able to leave the school and everyone else will be executed.

I remember playing the first Phoenix Wright on iOS - this does not seem to be quite the same setting. wink lol

However, word on the internet is that Danganronpa is indeed better than Phoenix Wright (maybe except for a lot of minigames?). Anyway, I will check out the first part.
