Not sure if you are jooking but just in case in spoilers

Plako or Novice

If you want to know how I guess here are the steps:
First how do you know someone is building the wonder:
-People that overexpand and can't tech anymore will try for Mids to get out of the ecnonomic crash.
-Stone/Marble seems plentiful even if contested.
-Wonder are falling later then normal because people don't want to make big risk earlier but now someone will take the bet in order to end on top.
Now how to guess who is going for it:
- There are 33 players. from there you take away the ones you know for sure are not going for the wonder:
Finharry (lurking) Pindicator(win war recently) Barry (lost war) CH (at war) Whosit (at war) Mardoc (build up) Azza (Build up).
-Who isn't playing his turn regularity for the past 20t.
Hashoosh, Darrell, Caledorn, Qqqqqqq, Bacchus
-Eliminated the lower half of the scoreboard:
Jowy,AT,Furungy,Dhal,Nakor, Molach, MYKI, HitAnyKey, wetbandit, CYneheard, daze, Ruff.
-People that already build a wonder not so long ago:
JoJo (HG), Boldy (bulb Phylo)

That leaves:
Dtay, Ball/Oxy?, TBS, Plako, Yuri, Space, Ataturk( who is Ataturk? Catwalk?) WilliamLP, Krill.

From that bunch I would put my money on Plako or Krill but I think that Plako is more likely to go for The MoM.
Krill on the other hand could easily overexpand and Novice has the skill to make the Mids pretty fast.

Awesome! Just what I was hoping for. thumbsup I haven't learned my lesson yet though, so I have some quibbles:

Plako already got TGL so Mids is another big build which would stunt his growth more than I think he'd like (although he is CRE/IND so it's fully possible). I'd actually be surprised if Krill was the driving force behind going for Pyramids - he's all about early expansion normally - and they are FIN/CRE which doesn't suit a specialist economy.

Of the other contenders dtay got Oracle, so could have a forge helping and liked his wonders in PB13, BaII seems to be improving as a player, but his score is too high for them to be concentrating on Mids, TBS went down the religious line for CoL so I'd assume (hope) he's going to be late to Maths, Yuris doesn't seem to plan ahead enough, Space might I guess, Bacchus (who calls himself Ataturk just to be annoying) could, but I'm going to plump for WilliamLP to snag them. He's middle of the pack on score, so something is holding him back, he's IND/ORG (which may be why he's middle of the pack duh) and he's a pretty organised player.

Obviously I really hope Azza gets them with his Maths chops, but that's looking less likely now frown. Does he have a lot of hammers invested anywhere Fintourist?

Baii is subbing for primary, Oxyphenbutazone. So notch up the skills assignment.

Turn 95

Quickly:

- City number 14, "Nina", was founded.
- I should not have said anything about the lack of barbs. There is a barb axe incoming in the south. I promo-healed our axe into Shock so we should have decent odds..
- Amusingly we currently have 7 cities that are at size #6 (happy cap for non-capital cities with whip unhappiness). Calendar luxuries can't come soon enough..

- Probably the most interesting thing from demos is that we have climbed to #2 spot in land area. The margin to no.1 is actually quite large, possibly explained by our significant number of coast/lake tiles and lack of CRE? Or does someone have like 17 cities?

Azza's capital has ~70 hammers into something (if my EP thumb rules are roughly right), but there are nowhere Pyramids-many hammers.

And yeah, I was about to say the same thing that Commodore said. Oxy has played most of the game so far and BaII just recently has been the name appearing in the score list. Missing a turn was more or less BaII's first action as a turn player.. rolleye

And vol. X: WilliamLP is a very decent competitive bet for someone to build Mids (OH vs. retep popcorn)

I agree Oxy would be a contender, but (I think) BaII has played a few turns now, so I'd place the skill level somewhere in between.

Odds for the barb fight - 91% if we don't heal, 97% if we get a turn of healing and fortification, 99% if we get two turns (which I think we should) popcorn. If we win I guess an axe NE of the deer does most of the fog-busting we'll need, but it'll take two units to make us totally safe.

Yeah, we should get 2 turns of fortification (and maybe healing as well?) Our Woody II scout is heading to this area, I'm hoping to fogbust the whole south soon enough so that all the remaining barbs will be Azza's and Mardoc's trouble :P Getting an unit onto the southern deer should help quite a bit. nod

Interesting.
I didn't know/remember that plago got the GLH, I would also discarted then.
True about dtay but Isn't him going for the Colosus though?
Ball is already missing turns.
WilliamLP won't go for the Mids. Even if he has stone under his capital. HE is most likely for a more safe route like growing and conquering which he asume is a weak nighbour later.
Bacchus on the other hand, if he has stone he would try.
I still think than Krill is either attacking/going to attack someone with HA soon or is going for the Mids. He probably use CRE to get a "safe" border and attack the other side. Heck I might even bet he is the one with the more land.

Anyway I change my vote for Bacchus.

Turn 96

Best news of the turn: For some unknown reason we have now trade routes to all pindicator, CH & Cyneheard cities jive That means that we have 26 3-commerce routes and only Nina has to use domestic routes. This development pushed our gpt to 105 gpt if I remember correctly. We are putting some beakers into Calendar so that we can finish it EOT98. With wealth (& research) builds I think we could actually squeeze it already EOT97, but I think there is no huge reason for trying to rush it and sacrifice hammers from other tasks (sugar connected on T100 also works pretty smoothly from worker micro point of view).

In other news, Daisy completes a settler for our 15th city. That will head for our eastern CH-blocker city so there are still several turns before we actually found the city (I'm so tempted to just plant the city somewhere closer so that I can say that we reached the promised goal of 15 cities by T100) smoke

I think this is the first time that we are above 5 % in world population (probably tells more about some players doing badly than us doing well/okay):

You can also see that Azza finished Maths and is heading for HBR (16 turns). That is actually pretty much his break-even research (currently 32 gold saved and makes +2 gpt), which means that we have still a good while before Azza can build HAs.

In the south we need to cross our fingers that our shock axe beats the barb axe please There are back-up forces and back-ups for our back-ups, but a straight victory would be nice.

T96 Sandbox
- I haven't fixed the trade routes so the commerce/amount of gold is wrong in case you wonder and want to sim ahead
- I think I need to do at least a quick run before the next turn. We need to decide whether the chop at Nina goes for monument, barracks or granary and also otherwise it would be useful to play once until T110 or something. I have the next couple of turns roughly covered, but after that our micro would just be improvisation.
