RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

Yeah, if we want the Wines, we should settle on the Stone, that's our best chance of owning them barring war with the Romans.

EDIT: I just realized Exploit is not Roman...he's some other purple thing.

Played our turn, both Workers finally doing something useful again. I left research on Archery, but dialed gold to 100% to give us more time to decide on IW smile.

FYI, our southern warrior needs to move east to get to carthage, but Krill gave me some intel on a lion (actually 2) in the area, so I didn't do it. I think we should risk it, but I wanted to converse first.

Final spam post (for now). Krill and I had a chat re: IW. He doesn't want us to research IW since it will make it harder to pull Rome in, or so he says. The logic is Rome will want to research the tech themselves to control their own destiny, but my recollection was HRE didn't like the SSS team, so they weren't a candidate anyway. Does anyone else remember that?

I still strongly vote The Wheel next if we can't get it locked down in a trade, otherwise IW.

Krill now thinks we should go for The Wheel, slave out a pair of Chariots, kill his second city, and choke his capital. I am not sure that is the best use of our pop, but it does have its attractions. It will certainly be cheaper than building a big stack later.

On the downside we no longer have a buffer between us and aggressive Rome. I guess that's not necessarily bad, since it would be easier to conquer up to us than settle up to us.

Sounds like we need to maybe have a group chat to figure out what to do. Maybe this afternoon EST (early evening GMT)?

I am free the whole afternoon - just need to be done by about 330-4 EST

You said something like this (a few pages back wink )

I would do Wheel (and maybe pottery depends on when Alpha would be ready) anyway else a) your worker will again sittling idle and b) you will need to spent turn on roading when there might be far better things to do (cottaging for example)

Your GNP looks quite nice but remember a nice chunk (~1/3) of it is the culture from Henge. Without that it doesn't look that great.
You are EXP (cheaper workers and Granaries) and India (Fast Workers) but it looks like you try to diminish your advantages (or someone talked you into it).

Quote:Greetings DJCiv,

It appears that the borders of Bison Pass and what I assume to be Happy Hour are much closer then I originally thought. With a single neutral desert tile between my southeastern border and your northwestern border, we are ideally setup to quickly establish trade routes. On the downside, such close borders tend to cause tension and wars.

There are a number of issues which I believe Tech and DJCiv should discuss:

What are DJCiv's territorial ambitions regarding the areas near Bison Pass?

Would DJCiv be interested in a NAP of some sort, possibly with a cool down period, that would reduce potential tensions along our border?

Would DJCiv be interested in an open border agreement once the technology becomes available?

Finally, is DJCiv open to potential future tech trades?

Regards,
Exploit
