Meh. Took a look at the save. You can take it if you want, I need to run sims. The bad news:

Suddenly the path to Machinery seems prescient. Although I'd really rather not have to wait to train and transport crossbows in order to cut his copper, if it can be avoided. Hope your sims come out looking favorable, that we only fight this one mace.

I don't see how that could stand up to a low-odds Numidian or two.

Hardy-har-har.

Anyway, yeah - well we knew there was a race against the clock with Maces when we saw the irrigated wheat. The downside here is our Axes are really worthless soon, because Maces also means he can field X-bows himself on defense.

I need to settle in and such so if you're already prepared and can play I'm copacetic with that. These are always the turns I feel like need to be played slowly.

I do think it might just be time to gather everything we have and plonk it on his mainland. We could just dump everything on the hill SW of Zits which forks his capital and see what he does. If he ends up annihilating our army, so be it, but we can't let this go on another 15 turns. I also think we should just go ahead and swap every build from somewhere that can get in touch to an X-bow. But bottom line - if we take out Zits and Donald Duck it doesn't matter that he can build maces - he can keep BC and Hagar for all I care. It might just be time for the final showdown and take it from there.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Even the RNG wonderboys that are Numidians would be hard pressed to take it, actually. duh I haven't had time to run multiple attack configs, but even full health it'd be dicy, at half health it's just too hard to take them. Meh.

You should probably take it, Gaspar, I hate to leave you with that stinker but it seems wise to just dump everything at Zits. Wife is a bit on the tired/sick side tonight, we're turning in early.

Okay - gonna grab a bite then I'll play this and 24. No rush on either I guess. smile Hope the boss feels better.

Ok, going to skimp on the report, but here's the upshot - I moved the 2 numids to fork, but more to either A: tempt him to attack out and B: prevent him from reinforcing Zits from DD. Otherwise I'm just moving everything to get in position to hit Zits with everything we have in 2/3 turns. I left an obnoxious amount of signs.

Will give a fuller update in the AM.

Thanks man, looks good. It ain't the wife that's doing the bossing though...I thought a kid had to be actually born before disrupting your life. rolleye

Looks pretty good. Our shock Numidians actually do get flatland odds on his C1 maces, so they still have their uses, but beyond that it's crossbows everywhere. Stupidly powerful Representation research. banghead

Took a look at the save, feel free to play.

Looks like Sian killed the pair of Numids that I foolishly split from the main stack with a pair of spears. frown

No chance to attack this turn, as most of the units would have to attack amphibiously at terrible odds, but I feel fairly cozy that the hill staging tile is still safe. Might as well dump everything we can there and see what happens and attack either next turn or the turn after.

Sian revolted PS/Bureau. So his tech will slow but the whippage will grow. Really need to get a break against Zits soon or this is going to be an interminable slog. It goes without saying that its a crusade for him at this point.
