I feel like my 2nd game against Gustaran is like the chess version of Tower Defense...

At least for me the reason is more an emotional one than mathematic; i think that's similar to rego's reasoning but that's just a guess

If you can't win your position this time, you will never do it. But hey, no pressure!
My online chess record on chess.com is still 44 wins / 0 losses / 6 draws, so to make things more interesting I am offering the first player from RB who manages to beat me a video training of their choice from the Chessbase online shop!

It's still a bit tricky, even if i'm up a knight and a pawn, your pieces are all still well coordinated for an attack. It only takes one mistake...

From my perspective, I knew that it was a won position. However, I had already blundered once in the endgame ( losing a knight) and I worried about being able to finish him out without further blundering and losing.
Coupled to that was the short timer and a crazy RL. At the time, I could not see a way to face the double threat on my knight / rook from his bishop, though after putting in ChessBase later, Rb1+ seems ultra-obvious....

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am reporting live from the maybe decisive game of the world renowned RealmsBeyond chess tournament #3! Millions of viewers are following this amazing clash of titans. Hitherto unbeaten champion Gustaran opened with the exotic Gibbins-Weidenhagen gambit, putting enormous pressure on challenger pindicator. But by now it seems pindicator was able to fight off the pressure and he is now a clear piece and a pawn ahead.
I believe he simply must win from this position and if he does everything could be his: The fame, the money, the women and of course the legendary title of the RB champion!
But pindicator knows how dangerous Gustaran can be, a win just slipped through his fingers during their last encounter. He also knows that only one bad move can cost him this game. Oh yes, ladies & gentlemen, pindicator looks nervous and his clock is indeed ticking down. Only 20 hours for his next move, is he going to make it? The pressure is enormous..."

You know you play too much chess, when ...
...you know alternative names to the Gibbins-Weidenhagen gambit.
But you are correct, other names for 1.d4 Nf6 2.g4 acoording to the web are Bogart Gambit, Bronstein Gambit, Krabbe Gambit or Bullfrog Gambit.

just happened to read a book where the Bogart vs NN game where he played that opening (being the earliest registered game with the opening) was featured just earlier today, while bored in the library next to the train station since trains were crap today
