If you want Dosbox to not close, you can run Dosbox.exe and start the game the normal way as though it was in Dos.

Edit : I tested a fresh install (also Gog version) to make sure no files are missing and it works.
You should run install.exe and check your music settings and make sure they are compatible with your dosboxmom.conf file (meaning the type of sound you selected is actually emulated).

Reinstalled and copied everything except the dosboxmom.conf file. It is working, now, thanks!

Yeah! It works without DOSBOXMOM.conf!

Good job on the new version, I couldn't help but abandon my previous game to enjoy the updates.

One question - I think the ghoul ranged attacks deal poison damage, is that intentional? - their ranged damage output is quite terrifying against low-tier units (including swordsmen)

Not something I planned for, but I don't mind. I think poison works with any type of attack.

I believe there is a problem with outpost growth with Halflings. In my current game, none of my outposts have increased at all. Over 50 or so turns, I have built 5 outposts, 4 of them in one location. 3 have been abandoned. All growth has been negative. The map locations will support 17 and 18 population.

Also, Griffins can only see 1 space. I doubt it is intentional but they don't have a Scouting ability, at all.

edit: It appears to be all outpost growth. Every city the AI have settled has been abandoned. Is it just me?

Haha...sounds like a bug but might be worth keeping as a mod. The one-city challenge! Your quest is to locate and destroy all other fortresses. It sounds like an interesting way to play!

Is there a Meteor Storm in effect? It destroys outposts.

Griffins don't have Scouting. However, every flying unit sees +1 more than default, even without the ability.

My current game doesn't seem to have odd 'outpost' problems. They grow reasonably fast (lizardmen).

Once again your mod on 'hard' (2.1 version) is pretty tough. I like the concept of actually needing to protect my towns and play on the defensive

The AI is now properly building large stacks before attacking ... then builds another stack, then another. When that wizard was not successful with 8-10 separate stacks, he asked for peace. Sadly, an even stronger wizard declared war and sent this tough stack still early in the game on 'hard' difficulty.

It would be...if the AI knew not to build outposts. All their capitols are population 5-6 because they keep building settlers.

Does easy have a population growth modifier? Apparently that's what I started that game on... I just thought the AI was retarded because they couldn't expand. I started another game on normal and one on hard and outposts grow correctly.
