Well that was fun. Thanks Lewwyn and Oxy. I should clearly practice medieval starts.

Final tally: Oxy first eliminated (twice! ). Maybe the second time doesn't count, I captured a second city off you right after you and Lew logged off. But I don't think you could have defended in time:




Then again, if the game wasn't ending I probably wouldn't have rolled in on you, so it probably doesn't count. But me whacking you in the first game on T12 does count! Sadly, no screenshot of that one, it was awesome -- worker steal, city capture, elimination in one move!

By the way, how were you up to 8 cities already??? I had five and Lew said he had four. Spamtastic!

I give myself 1/5 stars for my performance. But it was fun.

Xenu V Lewwyn V Me

First game Xenu kills me cause I miscounted tiles and didn't realize a warrior could raze my capital from the fog before I could get my warrior back... :smoke:

Second game we went donut script, med start I had a rough starting location because we were all on the eastern portion of the donut, but I was wedged between Xenu and Lew while they both had empty space to expand into. Plus, I had no immediate access to horses or metal. I compensated by going music first and culture bombing the Xenu front. He flashed a couple of stray axes, but I countered with Keshiks and chariots. In the end, we never fought at all and as a result my border city was always empty :shhh:

Unforunately, when Xenu was flashing axes, Lew invaded my border city with an elephant stack and took it quickly because I built a few too many workers, should have been building an archer or two at least. He advanced to my capital, but I had enough units so he retreated back to the city. Meanwhile, I converted to total war mode and started chopping every forest in my borders and running culture slider to compensate for INSANE whip anger. By the end of the game, my capital was up to 50 turns. I built a decent stack of spears, cats and keshiks, but then made a total :smoke: move by attacking my former city, not realizing he had axes in there. I continued to build non stop units and eventually got a stack of: 7 cats, 8 keshiks, 3 archers, 3 spears, 2 axes and a chariot. Lew moved in his elephant stack which had a lot of WE, cats and crossbows IIRC, but I catted and killed it and moved on to retake my border city, scoring 2 GG in the process. Lew ended it there, he was probably right that he could have teched up and won, but it would have taken forever...

Nah Xenu that was a joke, I had 3, about to settle a fourth. And no way you would have burned that city if Lew wasn't in such a rush to finish. I had a huge keshik stack who would have reinforced and a terrifying 3 move Shock/c2 keshik who would wreak havoc on your countryside.

I don't doubt it, my military was a paper cutout compared to what you guys were doing. I told Lew after the game in the chatroom, I was trying to make it to Nationalism and Gunpowder and then draft musketeers until there were no peasants left to draft. If you guys attacked me before then I was probably going to die horribly, though.
