am pretty sure he burned in on the GA. I think that was maybe not a great move on his part, but it gets him a couple of free civics swaps, so it's not terrible. Just glad he didn't get MoM... that would have been bad.

 no time for pics!! Some things: 1) We have compass and are going to see if people want it. I'm thinking of selling to cornflakes - harbors are good for him, but drama is good for us 2) 2 turns to the glib, thanks to a couple of chops and marble. Dunno if we'll get it... lots of fail gold if we do not. 3) founded V, in the fish/banana/ivory/iron area. 4) Have another settler moving to the horse. 5) Cornflakes researched CS. We traded it out for machinery, philo, calendar, theology and cash (from azza). Commodore didn't give machinery to azza, though, so he's probably screwed.

#2 - I had a lot of whip overflow to add, plus the OR bonus... plus, 2 fish means fast grow, plus 2 chops - we made 157 hammers last turn and something like 22 a turn now. Marble is nice
#3 - they are coming!! Going to make one in The OC next, I think - it's grown a lot - and maybe one in MASH. oh - I should say that we got an expansion in SWAT and took over the pigs. I may dump more culture there, especially if we can build sistine chapel. plus, A-Team is now the largest city in the world!!

You're definatley persona non-grata if not an outright enemy. Let's make sure that our border cities are well guarded against opportunism at least. Congrats on A-Team!

Astonishingly, I think we are getting the GLib. I have a hard time believing it, given that we were dead last in getting to lit.
i offered compass to jowy for HBR and some cash and I did offer it to cornflakes - for drama, dyes and some gpt. He showed up with a stack of horse archers in Blimp and I thought it was time to show nice. Though, I did whip in an xbow in SWAT That has a CG 3 archer, a CG 2 archer, a spear and a xbow, so I don't think he's hitting me anytime soon...I neglected to mention this, but I have a fish for crab deal going with 2metra. that's actually important, since ATeam is at it's health cap. The harbor will fix that right up, of course. btw - cornflakes can trade through us. closing borders does not stop trade going through - war does, but he can trade through us. Harbors are good for him, of course.

If this little trade that you got from Cornflakes collapses the trade blockade will it be worth it? Once one person does it, there's a exponential risk that everyone acts in their own interest and the trade blockade will collapse.
Its a much bigger risk when the organizer appears uncommitted. I really don't understand why you'd do this. Allies act together and I think that we want allies against the greater Cornflakes enemy. If Cornflakes shows up with 3 catapults + 6 HA I don't see why he couldn't take the city. This is not a stack that he couldn't put together pretty easily and we'll have 1 turn to react so I wouldn't get overconfident. I really think that longbows should be our priority. Wow Glib in 1T. I guess this marble monopoly is really something. Maybe its worth a run at Sistine after all? That would be so good!
I don't think it will - all we did was close borders. There's no restriction to actually not trade with him - people have been doing that all along. I organized it to reduce the impact of the lighthouse, not to completely isolate him.
Maybe people will take it amiss, I dunno. He didn't accept my offer anyway. Yes, if he shows up with 3 cats and 6 HA he would almost certainly take the city. The thing isn't whether he can take the city - the thing is whether he can afford a knockdown war with me AND Azza, all with commodore at his back, and I don't think he can. I think he'd pick off a lightly defended city, but a full-on assault is pretty risky, especially since he's at war.

We got a 22 point score increase. I think that's a pop point and a wonder (I THINK wonders are 18 points). it's not a tech, since we were researching Paper.
I think we got The Great Library. I do not understand how we got it when there are: 3 Ind civs 1 philo civ 1 civ running Representation AND We were last to the tech. Yay marble!! I think people just didn't see it coming... Here's a question: is ToA worth it? an extra 5 GPP + 1 hammer + 1 gold + 3 beakers once I hit rep. Of course, it pollutes the GP pool, making a scientist less likely. I dunno. I think next is whip in a lighthouse and get overflow into the next wonder...
