Thanks, that box has been driving me crazy and I just couldn't work out how to unlock it. Names Lucas by the way

With that he extends his hand to shake hers, but you can tell from his eyes he is desperate to examine the contents of the chest as quickly as he can now.

Lucas!  Such a strong name.  I'm Lady Elizabeth

She looks him in the eyes, smiling, and shakes his hand.  She's got deep green eyes.

Then she backs up a step so that everyone can see into the chest.

Edit
Of course, we're assuming here that we've got the right pattern. Going to have to back up a few steps if I whiffed it

Its nice to meet you he replies before spinning down to examine the contents of the chest

I would be shocked if we have this wrong, but yes I guess we would have to rewind

The chest does indeed open with a click.

Inside you find four fine cotton dresses, each worth 25gp, a sack of coriander seed worth 30gp, a rack of fine glassware (half of them shattered or cracked) worth 125gp, an oilcloth-wrapped stack of fresh paper worth 20gp, a silver-inlaid light crossbow that can be sold for 50gp along with five masterwork crossbow bolts, and a finely carved wooden document box. The box itself can be sold for 15gp; the papers within are correspondence mostly, but there is a secret compartment in the bottom of the box open and damaged by the chest's rough handling. Within are five encrypted letters and a cloth sack containing some mysterious blue powder.

Lucas quickly takes in the trade goods and ignores them happy the others will work out a fair divide of the goods, his attention instead is drawn to the correspondence and encrypted letters, which he picks up to study further

Lucas does indeed notice several of the letters have his relative's seal; one envelope holds a signet ring as well. They were addressed to various merchants in Mingo Bay. Other correspondence is also to Mingo Bay, from various other nobles and merchants. The encrypted letters aren't clearly marked; without the key it's doubtful you can figure out who they were even addressed to.

Anyone can do a Knowledge (Nature) on the powder next to the hidden letters.

Anya's careful ministrations have seen the guard out of danger; he is no longer in a coma, seeming to be in a light sleep. It is probably safe to wake him if you have questions.

Robern, although you are nicely personally enriched by what you've found here you note nothing that seems to have belonged to your employers. You can report to them that the problem has been taken care of going forward, but they would still be interested to know where their goods were sold.

Kile is also doing better with food and rest. He takes Niall aside, looking worried. Brother, I have to ask, how many men did you kill down there? It was hard to tell, but besides the dwarf there were at least six grunts and his lieutenant, Raskin. You'd recognize Raskin easily, he only had one eye.

First the chest's content, then the prisoner. Anya joins the others around the chest.
Interested in the nature of the blue powder Anya takes a better look.

Lucas raises the letters Some of these are the property of my sponsor for this adventure, which I would like to reclaim, the others are from other merchants which would be of interest to him also no doubt if nobody minds me also passing them to him

He then in his other hand addresses the encrypted letters These however are subject to some sort of code, I suggest we keep these on us for now and hope we stumble upon a way to crack them
