[SPOILERS] Cornflakes and Q Eat 'Em for Breakfast!

Reason why the GS market is not worthwhile (yet): we could get 120g just from building wealth with each hammer (and that gold will come earlier and thus be of greater use).
For those hammers that aren't built but whipped or overflowed whip, theres so much more we could do with them - settlers, military, etc.

I think our next push should be to nail down our border with 2metra in the north. If we can keep 2metra from getting around us, all the lands to the west between us and Azza will be backfill (except for some skirmishing expected with Azza at some point). The impi that is building in Doughnut will explore directly North of Mars until we reach the area where the scout died, and then head west. The impi heading for Azza's capital will head East after revealing the capital's tile. One or both of the impi's near Zombie will go to pillage the improvements around where Skeleton used to be (gold + force Azza to rebuild) and then will scout directly along the northern side of that body of water.

One thing I wonder: Azza has at least 3 chariot that I've seen ... but only before declaring war. Since war was declared I haven't so much as caught sight of a single chariot. With our impi though we don't have to fear surprise chariot attacks. It's easy to reposition as needed within our territory along our road network.

What do you think about PH for 80g?
(They researched hunting last turn).

I think they won't take it. I would accept even 60-gold ... That's almost 2 turns of research @ 70+ beakers which is more than the price of the tech. I'll offer 80g and if they counter with less I'll take it.

Yeah that's what I mean.
If its a straight no, go down to 60?

I think we should consider leaving the corn as a city in that area would be good soon.

About Mars: I think the overflow should have gone into something else if we want to build TGLH there.
Too late now though.
I think we should go Calender next, our happy cap is crippling atm.
This means that impi might want to go south to look at dyes.

Good point about the impi ... he's headed south now.

We can't build TGLH until after border pop ... which means we have to 3-pop whip Library or get religion in there somehow (no OrgRel yet). AND we have to 2-pop whip a lighthouse. That'll take quite a while because we're still only size 3.

Calendar is next. I can build 6-turn settlers at Doughnut and 4-turn workers. I think I'll build a worker at Doughnut and grow Grand Slam for a settler whip.

I asked for a pause because I can't play until after Azza and he hasn't playes yet frown I leave home now and won't be back for a long day.

Yeah I meant we should dump production into either in the mean time.
Why did we sign peace with Azza?
I'm not entirely opposed to the idea, just suprised since we were heading the other way.

I signed peace because (1) my objectives were completely achieved beyond my expectation (3 cities razed, 0 units lost); and (2) Azza has a swarm of axes heading south from his capital. I couldn't head to the capital because of his axes and I'd already pillaged everything so there was no point in continuing war. I'll ship the impi up north and pillage the improvements there now. The axes will guard Pork Chop (named such because of the availability of pigs, and the abundance of food in that location ... i.e this will be a fat city).

This is the first turn that our research exceeded 100 beakers at full burn ... We're 40% breakeven. It'll be a few turns before we can support another city. We've go to get these established. Do you think it's worthwhile to build cottages around the Pork Chop (our new northwesterly city)? We've got such a food surplus here that workshops later on will probably be the way to go. Or farms if we want Globe drafting or GP farm.

Question: Should I pillage the road? It won't cause that much disruption to Azza because he probably won't be building military now that peace is signed. I'm thinking no ... there's no point in completely angering him. Just fortify on the pig because the hill there will give us the most visibility. Maybe he'll recognize the slight gesture of goodwill?

Yeah don't pillage the road - it's too aggressive.
To show we won't to be nice to azza, how about we propose OB and gift 1gpt ?
OB I wouldn't mean scouting wise (though we might as well do it if we get a chance) but to build relations, and 1gpt ain't gonna hurt us, but could show that we want them as a ally (ans maybe prevent war in 10 turns).
As to pork chop: we've got no hills to work so its basically either cottages or farms.
I think it could be globe, but we don't have irrigation (do we?).
Globe is 16(?)fpt to grow from size 5 -> 6.
2 base, 3 from clams, 4 from pigs, 3 from banana.
With two farms we could get to 14fpt - definitely good enough.
Is that its clam being made right now?
