Looks like it's my turn to have problems:

I was able to log in and play fine on the first two starts. But now I get this error that pops for about a second before the game crashes to desktop. I deleted the mod, re-downloaded it from plako's link in the first post of the thread, and loaded up, but only get the same error.

Any ideas?

And I never got to find out what fixed it, because the next time the game was restarted it was fine.

BUT

I just got it again, logging in after this latest restart.

Same here. Got this error on two different machines / OS (7 & Vista).

Patience please. Server has been updated to use my latest version of the mod for testing purposes. If you want to join the tests, please send me private message containing your email address and I'll send it to you (Confusingly it still has same version number as before - but this is just a test). However we wait Krill to publish the official version of the mod, before starting again.

Plako's answer probably already clarified this, but this error comes when:
a) You have the wrong mod (this case)
b) There is something else wrong with your mod folder (my case earlier)

I didn't realise that the plugin change would need a new mod for us too, thought it was all serverside. I'll wait for the new version!@

btw. Caledorn hasn't posted this, but civstats replacement is also tested and you can find it from here:
http://caledorn.no-ip.org:81/

It shows e.g. the unsuccesful logins and the one I made succesfully. There are also items from previous version of the mod.

Will there be some kind of easy overview that shows who have ended their turns (so that we can target our PYFT-hate-message?)?

There's an asterisk in front of the name of those who have ended their current turn yes. smile
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"
