Oh I forgot to mention this morning that I had a map trade offer from both Sian and Retep. I accepted Sian's and rejected Retep's, but the temptation of sending Retep an alliance offer was enormous. My experience playing Diplomacy is that proposing alliances to everyone in order to keep one's options open is always tempting, super fun, and extremely risky.
The turn pace following Grimace's death has become amazing, I can barely keep up with it. I played 3 turns since yesterday afternoon and there's an other one waiting in my inbox. I'd like to be able to give reports on the other two players (because they're not reporting themselves) but they spent a lot of espionnage on me (to the point where I lost graphs on Retep last turn, he has courthouses everywhere and I don't). I can't see their cities or research so I can only guess what they're doing
I forgot I had started a longbow already, which I whipped this turn. So only 2t left !
 Retep got education this turn, so he's locked on lib. Even with the scientist I doubt I could have gotten it, so the engineer was a good roll, thanks RNG. He doesn't have a GE so even if he gets to nationalism before me I should be able to get the Taj. |
