RBP3 [Spoilers] Capac of Mali

t120 Report

After the hassles of the First Big War, we're back underway. Last turn, India took (and kept) Carthage's northernmost city. The real prize is Lakewood, so we'll have to see how that battle goes. It's on hill, and has walls and possibly a castle, but force of numbers could carry the day for India and Ottomans.

Units

Lucky bested the barb axe and moved into Ruby to heal. Wild moved onto our road network and Richards continued his fogbusting outside Babylon Bridge. Tumbling joined the Maces on top of the workers at Paint It Brown.

Workers

Choppers continued chopping. Jerry started a road to Babylon Bridge, L'Wren completed her mine (Engineer reassigned to work it), Carla moved to the forest to chop, and Marsha started a mine at Ruby. Chrissie finished the cottage at Paint It Brown (citizen working it instead of oasis), and Bianca & Marianne moved to that tile (along with Jagger) and roaded.

Cities

Not much to say: Steel Wheels whipped its Mint and assignments readjusted at Ruby after the axe was removed from the wheat.

Trades

Offered Rice for Sheep to Egypt and request Philo & Map trade from England.
Reply

Having some home modem problems at the moment, so might be a bit unreliable with logging into the game until they are resolved.

T120 Report

Carthage requested 115g to upgrade a Pike, so they got it.

The lesser-spotted barb spear has been sighted SE of Paint It Brown. With Maces guarding our workers we're not in danger here.

Units

Bit of shuffling: mace and Black move 1S. Wild moves 2E of Sirian (his zone defence spot).

Workers

L'Wren moved south towards Babylon Bridge where Jerry completed her road. Jana completed her chop and barracks will be done next turn (58/50). HE is 200 hammers, so I think she should mine the hill then move to chop one of the plains forests directly outside Stell Wheels (with Cyrinda chopping the other one when she's done with her current chop).

Bianca & Chrissie put 2t into a road at Paint It Brown which Marianne can finish next turn now that she's completed her current road. Sabrina completed her chop towards MoM (now due in 10) and Carla started hers.

Cities

Sirian completed its catapult and I selected a Pike (4t) seeing as our main risk in the planned Inca war would be a mounted counterstrike at Kalin's Burgers. Oasis worked at Ruby instead of the farm (still grow next turn).

I'd like to keep the plains forests at Steel Wheels around for lumbermills. Don't we have more hill forests we can chop instead?

L'Wren was supposed to move onto Uberfish's last third ring forest and chop it. If we don't chop that forest the MoM will be delayed 3-4 turns. I doubt anyone else is building the MoM but it would sure suck to lose it by a few turns. If we don't have any competition, it will delay our golden age.

Carla's chopping that forest (as I guess you saw when you logged in).

You're right about the forests at Steel Wheels: let's move the workers to chop-mine those grass hills.

EDIT: we also funded Carthage's research this turn (79g).

The first forest was 3W of Uberfish and was chopped by Sabrina. The second forest is 2NE of Uberfish and is being chopped by Carla. The third forest is 1S3E of Uberfish and was supposed to be chopped by L'Wren.
Reply

The forest 1S3E of Uberfish belongs to Sirian (2NE) so I guess we'll have to whip Uberfish if we want to stick to the original timetable.
Reply

It's probably not worth whipping unless we think someone else is going for the wonder. Can we get anyone to do the espionage calculations to see if it looks like anyone is?

Had a check on what we can see and the three cities with the highest Sabotage Production numbers don't have access to Marble (Azteca gifting their Marble to India atm, DIM not gifting their Marble to Ottomans), so we clear as far as we can tell from our limited espionage inforamtion.

T122 Report

Gave Egypt 330g to upgrade to warriors to Pikes. We're becoming the game's number 1 weapons financier, that's for sure lol

Units

Thought about moving Black to have a look into Ssssssnake but decided against it when a few tiles were fogged on moving 1S off the hill so moved right back wink Lucky moved onto the copper at Blake, and Jagger had a wee look for the barb spear and failed to find him frown

Workers

Chop fnished at Steel Wheels. Second and final chop for MoM due next turn. More cottaging down at PiB, and L'Wren & Jerry built a road toward pigs & corn. One of them should hook up a road to Babylon once they're done farming the corn.

Cities

Sirian grew and new citizen is working a river mine. (We should probably farm the two remaining grasslands here, I think.) Blake grew and worked the copper for max hammers. PiB grew and worked the Oasis, and Ruby grew (Farm & grass cottage, not oasis). Steel Wheels also grew and HE will take only 7 turns, though this will come down as it grows again next turn and will work a grass mine. Just about time for one chop here before HE completes (much faster than I thought).

Espionage

Lots of civs investing EPs against us: Azteca, Inca & Portugal. I swapped our EPs back to Inca (48/43).
