My favorite for settling the city near cows on T50 accompanied with 2*Warrior+Axe. Spear coming few turns behind. Ignore slider (I didn't bother to do Binary research)

T41: Pasture sheep with all workers - start Axe (assuming here that Archery is the tech TEAM has). Move road warrior to Sheep tile. (hope that TEAM warrior suicides as the AI did in the sim lol)

T42: Chop forest NE from sheep with 3 workers and pasture cows with one.

T43: chop forest 2E from sheep. Axe finished.

T44: build roads on the hills

T45: chop forest and continue road building
[Image: civ4screenshot1033.jpg]

T46: Forest chop finished and roads continued. Cows pastured start chopping forest 1E of it.

T47: road building continued Settler finished

T48: star tmoving settler and continue road + move 1 FW towards pigs.

Plan ready - Capital might be better of starting Fast worker than Spear.

Nice plan, Plako!

If we complete the wine farm, the capital can build a five-turn worker at size 3. I wonder what's the best/fastest way to get the next settler out. Whip Blood Mary from size 4->2?

I think I improved slightly upon the plan.

By building the road as shown, it's easier to cover the workers with units, we get our new axe into play sooner, and we also get the spear in position sooner. Furthermore, I managed the workers to end up in the north, ready to complete two chops into the new city on t50, if necessary. The capital can build a new worker to pasture the pigs.

Note that I roaded the sheep on t49-t50, speeding up the spear's movement. If this isn't deemed urgent, we could spend those worker turns elsewhere (e.g., moving + starting to pasture the pigs).

(Edit: Just to be clear, there are still three unused worker turns in this screenshot. We could potentially complete an axe/spear in the new city on the turn that it's founded, by chopping two forests and working a citizen.)

Road is better positioned and if we start worker after settler in our capital we're not in a hurry to improve the pigs so this seems better.

The ideas of building the road like that and sending more workers up north are really unrelated, though. We could divert more worker labor towards the capital if we want the pigs pastured sooner, and still build the road like that.

Btw., we should name our workers to simplify future micro discussions.

I think I'm in favour of chasing the warrior at least a little bit ... I take it you mean move SW next and see if they shift it eastward into the dead end? We can decide whether or not to keep chasing once we see what they do with the northern warrior.

Next turn Axe 1E from Sheep. 2 workers + both warriors on grassland hill and road. 1 worker on plains hill and road. We should be able to toast that warrior in 3T with fast workers and axe.

I think we shouldn't go any further with our southern Axe. That warrior is far enough from our capital not to be a threat.

I agree, even tho I like the idea of killing both their Warriors wink

Suggestions for next turn
* 2 workers on gassland hill move NW and build road
* worker on plains hill builds road
* 2 warriors move to plains hill 2N using newly built road. It would be best to get rid of that warrior next turn hitting it with 2 warriors on flat land. This frees our workers in better position to chop the forest for settler
* Northern Axe moves NE
* Southern axe stays in place
* we accumulate another turn of gold
