My thoughts would be to move SE, then NE, NE.
Played in:
RBPB2 - Willem of Ottoman - 6th/10
RBPB3 - Joao of Inca 13th/17 or so???
PBEM6 - Shaka of the Vikings 2nd/5 (thanks Lewwyn)

That was the first thing I thought I'd hear from you upon looking at the lay of the land. It's probably not terrible we just haven't found them yet. I remember lurking RBPB1 early on when Krill was complaining. There were 2 screenshots posted in the no players thread. One Krill's, the other from Sulla's overview and if he had explored 1 more tile in any direction he would have found a ton of resources. It was simply the path he had chosen.
So yes right now it doesn't look great but that can change quickly!

* Until T6 work rice 3F1C, food bar at 18/22
* T7-8 work sheep 2F1H1C, grow to size 2, have quechua at 10/15H
* T9 work sheep and plains forest hill for 5H to get quechua out on T10
* T10-19 switch to worker
This plan was off by 1 turn, because I always get confused with game starting on turn 0. It's turn 6 and we are at 18/22F so I switched us to work the sheep. Growth still in 2T. When city grows, work plains hill for 1T to get quechua out, then worker.
I noticed in the demo screen that someone has 5H, which I think it means that an expansive civ is going worker first, working a plains hill. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good plan.
If that expansive civ is next to us, we have some time to get two quechas there!
Kalin, do to think that only 1 civ started worker first? In RBP2 more civs started worker first, if I'm not mistaken...
Been a bit busy to due sick children, a sick wife and now it's my turn!

Kalin Best rival production is 4, that means 4 hammers right? In that case, nope. If you want to use the expansive bonus, then you'd have to work a forested plains hill to get to 4 hammers naturally, then you'd get 1 extra for free. If you only work 3 hammers, then you won't get a bonus from expansive.

I have a flu. Gotta do exams sick next week. Didn't help that last night 90% of the city (including myself) was without heat because a pipe broke or something.

Hope everything is better now, Jowy!
It's really a challenge, two sick parents and two little kids who need attention...
The land really looks food-poor. Far fewer resources then in RPB2.

The Red line is what I'd prefer I think for our current quecha. Reason being is we might need to expand beyond a close placement given we haven't found a decent spot close by. Moving NE (pink line) is ok too though.
The other (greenish) line I would suggest for our 2nd quecha. Start north and head W/SW and double back to meet up with our 1st quecha and start heading out that way. Thoughts?
Also we are the first to size 2 so there are probably a lot of people going worker first or started max production on warriors or something.
Quecha do in 1, working sheep and plains/forest/hill. Up next a worker.

I agree with both red and green lines (pink/purple line is not worth imo, we'll get there anyway).
Interesting that most people started worker first (given we are first to size 2). Almost wish we went depth first with Sausage
EDIT: Another interesting thing from top 5 cities: several people founded on the 2nd turn.
