Met luddite, and will hopefully soon meet Lord Parkin and Adlain, which just leaves Locke to go.
Founded Thebes a while ago. Unfortunately, that takes my break-even tech rate to 50%, so I can't found city 5 for a while yet.
Mysticism arrives which lets me start some monuments.

Nakor caught me up for a chat:
Quote:Nakor: Hey WK, Nakor here
me: hi nakor
just finishing a turn for PBEM9
Nakor: okay! Have you got a few minutes to talk about PB4?
me: sure, go right ahead
Nakor: well, we've some issues with Plako and to get a good picture, we wondered if you are willing to share some map knowledge.
that's a first. After that, we might talk about getting revenge on Plako?
Plako is planning on blocking our expansion to the north, so we wondered what is to the north of both your civs.
me: hmmm, well i can share some map info
i only found your borders this turn
but he does have some space north of his capital
dont have the map in front of me though, so i cant say for sure
Nakor: is there a "landbrigde" to the north north of his capital?
or your capital?
me: give me a minute and i can can confirm
Nakor: ok!
me: ok, dont have a screenshot so ill have to log in brb
Nakor: sure
me: ok well im back
both of us have a landbridge to the north
im guessing plako is blocking yours?
Nakor: he wants to, but we're still talking about it.
If he doesn't give us room to expand, we only have 1 option left to us.
me: fair enough
Nakor: if it comes, to that, are you willing to aid us?
me: well, i cant say for sure now
if it was right now, the i would say no
i need to catch up with everyone else
plus i have a long term nap with as part of a peace deal
Nakor: fair enough.
when does that NAP end, if I might ask?
me: t110
Nakor: damn...
me: i know its long but after that, i would seriously consider an attack
Nakor: ok, thanks for being honest. I hope you will keep this information between ourselves.
me: i will, its probably no secret that plako isn't my best friend
Nakor: I gotta go, but thanks for the talk and the info. If there is anything we can do for you, just ask!
me: likewise, i hope you keep this chat confidental
ok, ill talk to you later
Nakor: will do so!
me: cya
19:51 Nakor: cya
It's nice to see that plako's other neighbour is interested in attacking him. I don't want to get involved in a war yet (not to mention the nap until t110) but if Nakor attacks plako then I can hardly complain about that.

Well I met Lord Parkin and Adlain, but I also met Locke so now I've met everyone. :dancing5: Of course I have a lot of diplo to do but that's inevitable.
In other news, all of my cities finally have some decent food, so I should finally be able to grow back into contention. I better get City 5 out quickly as plako and Lord Parkin already have 6.

There's nothing much to really update on unfortunately. All I'm doing is growing and building stuff while trying to catch up to the average in the demographics.
City 5 should be founded in 4-5 turns or so, when I'll post some pics. I finally have a few cottages at my capital which I'm growing on. After getting Agriculture I'll probably get sailing and hope that I can get foreign trade routes with someone.

Pretty much got all the basic worker ones out the way except Agriculture, due next turn. Of course some people have writing but there's not a lot I can do about that.

How's the progress on Sailing going?
I wish you luck as you recover from your position.

I'm still 4-5 turns away from it. As I haven't burned any gold on it yet, I might switch that to writing as my scout hasn't found anyone yet that I could get foreign trade routes with (only person who I can actually reach so far is plako and lol if I sign OB with him), and libraries would be really helpful.
Thanks, I'm probably still last place in the demogs, although I'm hoping that with a bit of luck I can move up to second last. Sadly plako is running away with the game and without a lot of help from someone I'm likely doomed after our NAP runs out. Having Sparta would make catch-up a lot easier.
I don't have much motivation for updates, but I'm happy to answer any questions that you asked. Otherwise I'll make an update every now and then.

Had a interesting chat with Lord Parkin. He told me that the civ line up is:
Luddite-Me-Rego-Moogle-Mackoti-
Nakor-Plako-You-Adlain-Locke
which sounds right given everything I've scouted. I just have to hope Adlain is somewhere near my scout so I can get trade routes off him.
plako got up to 8 cities, which is kinda depressing since I finally had more than half his population last turn, but now I'm probably back below that again. Hopefully everyone else see's it too and wants to help stop him.
He also expressed some interest in attacking plako when my NAP runs out, which is nice since he has war chariots. Now if only I could get rego to join in with some Impi's, then it would be really fun.

Judaism got founded in ex-Sparta (the city plako got for peace). Now even my capital will start to lose tiles to it and there's nothing I can do. Worse it will eventually steal a deer from my silver city. I definitely want it back but I highly doubt I'll be able to. Why didn't I try for a shorter NAP?
Although mackoti declared on luddite so maybe I won't end up last after all.
