[SPOILERS]"Look at my horse, my horse is amazing"

Thoth Wrote:Do you have AH for Subdue Animals yet?

One of Aggressive's bonuses is that you only need 2xp on your disposo-scouts to get subdue animals. It makes the Menagerie a lot easier to get (it's still bloody tough to get all the cages though. Wolves tend to go extinct quite early)

AH will be my 3rd or 4th tech. Not sure what to research next, but Subdue animal won't be the reason.

Besides i never had any plans to build the menagerie and i still don't, was just a thought to consider. Gonna have to find a tiger as well and i have no intentions of going for the leaves.

Nothing interesting to see.
Scout promoted with Woodsman. Should give me a decent chance if the bear shows itself.

Both Amelia and Sareln got pops this turn. Up to 5 and 3. Looks pretty clear the Amelia is going for an early specialist.

Speaking of Amelia, sh..he accidently sent me a screen of his lands earlier today and it's pretty dang hard to look away when you get it served like that (deleted now though). So yeah, i know his location. Luckily for him though, he's too far away for me to have any influence on him. So he won't be seeing the ways of yellow, yet.

Well with peaks all over the east, there's nowhere else to go but south. So will we have a bear problem?

[Image: Civ4BeyondSword2011-07-0620-17-25-44.jpg]

Yes we will. frown

Even with Woodsman and Combat I, as well as being on a forest, the odds are still pretty bad.
Still he did manage to come out of a griffin fight unscathed at less bad odds.

So the question is...

So can he do it again?

Will he do it again?

He...

He...

Did it!!!
:dancing5::dancing5::dancing5:

It's certain now that what we have here is what we call..

A MAN!

A wonder of nature, capable of great feats unheard of and what every true person strives to become.

Pretty close call though. Gonna have to spends several turns healing up.

Nothing to see south, though i didn't notice that the 2 kong heroes was preplaced on the map untill now. This map may be poor and all, but i'm very interrested in seeing what else there's behind the fog.

Nice! What's the next tech after Education? Maybe AH is a good idea, so you can get more workers to build cottages and more pop to work them?

Tech path after Education is Animal Husbandry/Mysticism -> Horseback Riding. I'm just not sure whether to do AH or Myst next. One is to improve cow, another to provide Elder Councils and God King.

I'm leaning more towards Mysticism than AH though. This would give my cap greater production and overall better research...
Actually compared to that the ability to correctly improve 1/2 tiles and access to Subdue animal, i'd say Mysticism is the correct path to take.
Yes i'll be relying on farms and cottages in the meantime, but that's not really bad at all. Besides i could only improve the cows as the sheep is forested and have to wait till Mining to improve it (forest needs to be chopped to put down the pasture right?).
So farm the cows and i'll get 4 food, missing just 2 hammers that a pasture would later give.

----------------------------

Well, scout beat down a griffin and got out of it unscathed. Then later, wrestled a bear and came on top of it. For that reason he will be named...

Yes, he may not officially be a hunter or be able to tame animals. But he's still kicking ass and that's good enough for me!

So he's now promoted to Combat II and is currently resting till full health.

Land below has been consistently poor and i've given up on finding a more viable spot for the 2nd city. So i'll take the one to the east.
At the moment i'll be able to get 2 farms up there, additional tiles for cottages and the forests around gives me additional production if needed, that should qualify for now.

The forest will need to be chopped in order to build a pasture. Deer/Elephant camps are the only tile improvements that don't destroy the underlying forest/jungle.

(Note that FFH forts chop the forest/jungle underneath them, BTS forts can be built on top of forest/jungle)

Well here's a nice place for an early city. Not gonna change my mind regarding the 2nd one though.

Very close to Education now and currently figuring where to start cottaging.

Only Mist got points this turn, likely pop points. Though i'm not fully sure what amount he's up to now. Must have missed something here.

Juuuuuuuuuuust typical. banghead
And it's always a griffon.

Sending my warrior home now. Gonna need 3 of them to safely escort the settler.

Not much happening. Basically figuring where to plant cottages and...

[Image: Civ4BeyondSword2011-07-0923-05-48-96.jpg]

Replacing the 2 lesser farms should suit me the best.

With Education done, it's time to get some cottages up, mmmmmm cottages.

[Image: Civ4BeyondSword2011-07-1113-40-08-99.jpg]

Warrior should be able to reach MegaYellow in time for escort. 3 of them should guarantee my 2nd city up in a few turns, unless Murphy decides to be a bitch.

Both me, Mist and Sareln researched a tech in these 2 turns. Both of them took a 1st row tech, Ancient chants i believe.

Oh event box. In these times of dullness your precense would cheer me up, to have something worthy of remembering. But no.
You mock me, coming with something that never appears in these times going "I got something that will brighten up your mood. A free golden age!!!!!..oh wait, you don't have Empyrean yet? Tooooooo baaaaaaad ". As if you enjoy the pain i'm suffering. You know what? Why don't you come down here and let me give you my own brand of pain! I'M GONNA TEAR OUT YOUR SPINE THEN RIP YA A NEW *BEEP*

Situation so far.

2 farms have been converted to cottages, settler was finished a turn ago and i should have 2nd city ready in 3 turns. Warrior next till i do another scout.
Worker going up for a 3rd cottage.

Current demographics:
[Image: Civ4BeyondSword2011-07-1716-22-12-85.jpg]

Someone has been having an exceptional GNP amount the last 4-5 turns. I do wonder i he's getting all this from plantations. Pretty worringly.

My food is pretty low, though that's expected when i'm converting it to GNP, which i still find pretty low at the moment. Should rise notably once those cottages grow.

3 players (Mist, Ravus and Sareln) have popped in the last 5 turns. One went to cap 5, another settled a new city and i haven't checked where that 3rd went to.

Both Amelia and mackoti teched between turn 34-35. Pretty sure it's Mysticism.

Why replace the farms instead of planting cottages to the north?
