I'd say no. Settlers are only marginally more expensive than workers for us, and I bought them in the wrong proportion anyway . If the skellie starts for Naggarond, I'll evacuate our settler. Then we can make a new start over by RoPs. (Without the benefits of worldspell, sadly.)

Turn 3 is in. Looks like we dodged a bullet. As Mardoc predicted, the skeleton did something random (screenshot from EoT):
It can still reach Kwythellar in two turns, so I went back to working the RoP to get a warrior out in time to defend.
In other news, our northern scout went further north, funding (unsurprisingly) some nice-looking land. Southern scout just paid for itself with this hut pop:
So we've now got enough gold to finish calendar. Though calendar isn't looking like the major windfall it used to, since it's going to take a bit of time to muster up the force to clear out those barrows.
Our southern scout also started exploring Bradeline's well. We may well be looking at an early elimination yet! Or maybe something awesome, like a free adventurer.
Commodore, did you also get the save?

The skelle heading down to guard the dungeon maybe? Didn't get the save this time around.

Hoping for something awesome from the Well, too. I realize we don't have a unit free - but there is a hut in the SW just calling to us... .
Does this help increase your willingness to found city 3 soon? I think the WS paid for itself already in allowing us to be safe from Mr. Bones there.

Either that, or it's taking a defensive route to Kwythellar.
I'm starting to think about post-Calendar; my first thought is Crafting-> Exploration, mostly because those are both cheap and useful and give workers something to do.
PS - Tracker worked for me.

Yea, it taking the defensive route to Kwythellar makes the most sense.
Well, at least now we know for sure about lairs spawning units within cultural borders

So, next turn we'll finish a warrior in Kwythellar. Assuming the skeleton suicides itself in between turns, I'll pop that ruin as soon as our warrior is returned to health. Then we can send Kwythellar's scout SW to pick up that hut, and to get the lay of the land.

I'm still thinking we should wait a bit:
1) Maintenance would be crippling right now; that'll be less of an issue once we have plantations on the reagents and incense.
2) Let the scouts do their thing, so we have a sense of where to put the new city.
3) I'd like to have a settler escort of at least one warrior (which is already too risky!)

I'm now thinking crafting-mining. Mining the gems would be quite nice, and Commodore could be right about revealing bronze.
Anyways, I suspect that the results of our well exploration (good or bad) ought to have a considerable impact on our next moves.

Looks like you still need to be added; I'll request it again in the tech thread.

New turn is in. Skeleton continued on toward Kwythellar, so I guess it was using the trees for defensive terrain. I produced a warrior there at EOT to defend. Odds are we'll be fine, but there's an off chance that this goes very badly.
Not much else to report: workers are farming corn, northern scout is exploring, southern scout is trapped in a well.

Turn 5 rolled in with an event:
Anybody know what that does?
Also visible in the screenshot: the skeleton didn't attack Kwythellar, but instead moved towards our scout. I decided to retreat the scout into the city. Only just now did I realize that that might have been a very bad move: that skeleton might decide it needs to defend the ruin, which could go on to spawn lizardmen. Well, if it moves there next turn, I'll sacrifice the scout and hopefully kill it with the warrior.
Also due next turn: the results from our exploration of Bradeline's well.
Northern scout found another ruin:
And decided to steer clear.
Workers finished a second corn farm, and Kwythellar grew a size at EoT.

To clarify, Mardoc is probably referring to Vesta Glory, a great engineer who has joined our righteous cause:

Definitely agree we should settle him (her?). The extra hammers will be a tremendous help.
So, the skeleton decided to park itself on the ruin. But knowing that we've got an engineer on the way made me less inclined to take crazy risks attacking it. So I kept our warrior fortified in the city and sent the scout to pop that hut out to the SW. Speaking of huts, our northern warrior found another one, along with the (a?) mirror of heaven:
In other news, Naggarond finished a warrior at EOT.
