[SPOILERS] Novice's nominal nonchalance

On a 40x40 five player mirrorland map, capitals are actually spaced apart 8 tiles in one dimenstion and 16 tiles in another. So 16 moves on a direct beeline.

Based on a sample size of 5, we will always have one neighbour 8W16S, and another 16W8N. (As opposed to 16W8S and 8W16N).

Don't worry about a demos screeny this turn, I'm in the right OS with the game when it arrived so I'm looking at the save myself

Mackoti settled in place, working the same forest grassland hill. Exp worker build, I would imagine. GNP of 18, so likely AH too.

Serdoa's borders popped, 21 land tiles now as expected. He's working the Oasis now.

(Note (mostly to self) that what I see is their activity on the turn before, and this turn order effect appears to also mean that when tied for a place in the demos we're lower than rivals not higher.)

Seven & Nicolae both settled, as expected.

Nicolae will presumably be working the 1/2/0 tile & making his expansive worker, and Seven working the corn. (There are other possible ways to make the numbers work, that's just the one I think makes sense ).

Neither are researching a tech with a pre-req, coz we're 3rd with GNP of 18 (unless mackoti's switching tech around). I'd guess Agri for Seven, maybe Mining for Nicolae? Or Nicolae doesn't have a tech selected, the grace period on that must run out soon though.
