[SPOILERS] Let's Make a Deal with Monte

Here's the future battleground between Nakor and me. As an aside, you can also see that I met Oxy some turns ago across the north strip of water.

In any case, I think the distribution of resources here favors me, as far as I can tell. I'll throw up better screenshots when the game gets moving. The stronger tiles are closer to me and Nakor's path is best by jungle. Whenever the game starts up again, I'll declare and move in with the scout to see what he has. He could potentially have a Holkan lurking, but with the extra movement from W2, I should be able to avoid grave danger.

Third city will need to grab copper and then it's a mad dash for the center.

It's not an absolute necessity to settle by that copper, to amend my previous post. I'm considering settling the deer wheat dry rice spot on the jungle 1w of the lake. I will be spending worker turns hooking up the copper so that copper sheep spot could be more productive in the short term as it could share one of the caps clams. It will need a barracks to eventually claim the sheep, so it's potentially slower.

And because this is nominally a Game Show theme, here is your obligatory Japanese game show bit.

Nakor has copper mined.

Here's the future battleground:

Trying to not win the Second Page Award, found BGN. He also knows Q and has yet to meet Nakor, but that will change soon as Nakor's warrior is right behind my scout.

Settled city #3, GNP is 3rd as I've recently hooked up gold and getting massive bonii on writing. Other demos are very mediocre. Ho hum.

I attribute all event success to this ho-hum game show naming scheme:

Also, we have the most GNP, as it should be.

Whipping the Capital next turn for settler for City 4, to be routed towards the wheat/pigs/deer city.

I'm sure everyone is in awe at my micro in the lurker thread. mischief

Not much really going on here:

Annoying barb coming in to TPiR. I decided to settle up north as there are far less barbs running around there. I am currently running a non-existent military, as shown by one warrior to defend TPiR, so the more compact for the time being will be helpful. I see nothing coming my way from Nakor so far.

Enjoying the AGG maintenance discount.

Uninspiring demos. But now the real highlight:

I hope this is some fodder for Gaspar.

Catwalk is trying to ensure that BGN has a friend when he returns. I accepted because why not.

Not looking good.

Also we have reason to fear our neighbors to the North and their apparent proficiency at lion taming.

The great expanse.

13th in crop yield is certainly better than 20th!

plus, you have 'a great expanse'! one of those is always handy when seeking to turn a gnp lead into crops.
