Boston's borders pop next turn. If I understand the defogging (and I probably don't), I think this will gain me visibility on the yellow dots.
Further - looking into the fog around Paul, I think these yellow dots hold forests while the green dot is grassland (or non-forest).
So ... I will probably move him directly north so that he doesn't get stuck in the forests. Depends what I see when Boston's borders pop.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I was 1 for 2 from above. My fog gazing was correct (green square didn't have a forest) but my defogging knowledge was way, way off. Boston's expansion revealed many more tiles that I had indicated.
And(!) I have found more sheep.

T6: Moved to red dot to find ...
That looks like a very nice city site. Not sure if it should be where the scout currently is ... or 1 tile west.
Also - where to next? Any one of the red dots is an option.
BTW - scooter popped a tech from a hut via his capital expanding and Jowy popped a tech with a unit. There are now 4 of us on 35 pts. My GNP went from 9 to 10 with my border expansion ... working the river side unimproved suger(?).

Hmm, should you not work the corn to get the worker finished faster?

It doesn't make a difference to the worker. Working the corn gives me 5 food hammers (2h+3f) while working the silk (not sugar - mixed up the icons) gives me 5 food hammers (4h + 1f).

Now that this game is 6 turns old, I think it is high time that I actually put together a plan. As with all things Civ4 ... each plan involves cost benefit analysis and opportunity cost. The first step is actually creating a sandbox that has the same tech costs as the true game.
More plan deliberations and details to come.

I ended up moving the scout to the grassland, forest hill shown in the picture below. This revealed ...
Next move is to the floodplain as indicated. I expect that the river next to the flood plain empties into a body of water and that the tile 1NE of the flood plain is grassland (or plain). Scout should head NE from there.
BTW - I am out of pocket from early Thu to late Fri (UTC-5). mh - can you fill in as required?

I have a test bed and have been running some options. Trying to whip a settler, get a warrior, get a second worker and complete Stonehenge all before T25.
Techs required: Mining (72/85 beakers), Bronze Working (207 beakers), Mysticism (85 beakers). I currently generate 11 bpt.
What is the bonus for BW given that I know mining? Is it 'beakers to tech' = ('raw beakers' + 1) x 1.2 rounded down?

A trip? Fun or work? For how long? Access to forums for updates?
Looks like we might need someone to cover Friday. Any other lurkers around?
