Thanks! And maybe. The main issue would be that Pitbosses seem very time-intensive, and I joined RB/started my first multiplayer game here to have a break from SGOTM play over on CFC. I wasn't sure what the standard of play at RB would be like, and I didn't want to devote a huge portion of my free time to playing, so smaller PBEM games seemed the way to go.
I'll either try to start a high level PBEM next, or join (and win ) a pitboss. But I like the small format of PBEMs, for sure.

History repeats itself:
Eleven turns ago:
So, with the Econ. GM, an earlier GS, and now the GE, that's GA#4 wrapped up.
Oh, and I can build Cuirassiers now. Next stop: Cavalry.

I've been thinking about "how to win," and I don't see any reason to go for an all-out Cuirassier rush. Heading to Rifling for Cavalry is much safer: my opponents won't get better military units in the next 5 turns, Rifles will wreck any backstabbing stacks on my flanks, I can grow AT's old cities some more, and PP/RP are really good economic techs for me, as my empire has a ton of Villages/Towns/Windmills/Watermills (it eschews Farms/Workshops/Mines). I'm already in the driving seat, so why push for an earlier, but riskier win?
So I 1-turned Printing Press, which added ~120C to my research. RP should take 2 turns. Rifling will take 2–3, I guess.
Elsewhere, Alhazard just built the Parthenon. I think my lucky Great Engineer (= Taj) and not-so-lucky Economics grab wrecked his GA plans. But Al, when you read this later, you should have attacked Bob while I was distracted with AT. Your cities are doing too much to keep up with my empire, and running 100s of specialists before Representation just to start more Golden Ages won't be enough to catch up.

The Forbidden Palace just dropped my expenses by ~70GPT:
I have Printing Press and Replaceable Parts now. Rifling will take 2–3 turns, depending on whether or not I want to build Wealth.
Demos:
One question weighing on my mind: will Commodore tech Code of Laws before the game ends? It is now 1020AD, and law, order, and justice are all concepts foreign to Egypt. But they will have Muskets soon, which will impose a form of order, I suppose.

Thanks Al. Yeah, I'll see what the game is and what I'm doing at the time. I might try and start another PBEM soon.
By the way, can you remember why you didn't attack Scamels (my island city) when you had 4–5 units against my two Skirmishers? My test suggested that the odds were slightly in your favor, especially when you consider that you could have stopped early if the first Vulture fight went badly.

Nicely played, DTG, impressively methodical win.

I simmed on cyneheard's calculator so saw that was an easy fight but in the real game, I saw the odds and realized that somehow it does not account for First strikes. that made me scared.
