The fuck?
Anyway, before bitching about... this, first we should address the matter of utmost importance: naming theme. I have four options in mind.
1) Honorverse by David Weber (Star Empire with all the menagerie of "allies", "associated powers" and "protectorates" should provide a reliable pool of names).
2) Philosophers of classical antiquity (they are without limit).
3) Stars (have anyone used it? don't remember).
4) Dinozaurs.
Preferences? Suggestions? Alternatives? Lurkers opinions are welcomed.

How about dinotsars of Jurrasic-Russian fame? Ivan the Pterodactyl and all his friends.

It's a joke. I'm enjoying your theme in PB27, and when you wrote "dinozaurs" it sounded kind of like dino-tsars to me....I dunno. It isn't a franchise yet, but by the time Google next scrapes this website I'm sure someone will trade mark it, bottle it, and sell it if they can.

Actually, I considered Russian rulers as naming theme but it got scrapped before getting to the final roster.

Been rereading the Honorverse lately, so I'd vote for that. Dinosaurs is neat, but appears to be cursed  .

About the map. After initial shock I realized that this is Tectonics mapscript. We should expect deserts / plains / assorted hell in the center (with probable but unlikely alternative of flood paradise) and lush lands along the shores. On the other hand, strategic resources should be mostly towards the center, as I understand.
