My first thought is that why the hell are they mounted units in the game.
Immortals gets a bonus against both axes and archer, however they still lose horribly to spears. So I think to be able successfully Immortal rush someone, you pretty much rely on the other guy not building spears (bad play) or not having metal.
Much better in SP since the AI spams archers, but in MP, this is rarely the case.
I think a good way to use Immortals in MP may to be use them in conjunction with horse archers, let the HAs deal with the spears and immortal can mop up everything else.
I don't think they are particularly overrated or underrated. They are a good upgrade to a popular unit (chariots) but not something you can build your entire strategy around like you can with BTS Praetorians or Cataphracts.
See I like them as defensive units. A couple on a ha rush make it more efficient definitely, but with them also getting defensive bonuses, they allow you to have a much more mobile defence force that really deters an axe or chariot rush on yourself given they would need to build a lot more spears or get less odds. Plus for barbs everything is covered

All good points for sure. In general I find it difficult to evaluate something that's a boost only when defending, since defending is mostly out of one's control ie. why Protective is terrible in BTS.

Sheep pastures finishes this turn, and BW comes in next turn. Depending on where copper ends up, I may have to completely redo my micro plans.
Looking at the demos, someone apparently already built and is working a mine. Could be a mined sheep.
The rival power seemed oddly high at this point. Meh who cares...
None of the religions have fallen yet, which makes sense considering the tech costs on this map. I don't really care about religions since I'm Creative this game, as long someone doesn't pull a "Commodorian Special" on me.

Copper!
Literally in the perfect spot for my planned second city.
Seems like someone had their scout eaten.
In other news, Jowy grows to size 3.

Ugh, another pause and it's not even turn 30 yet.
I've had my share of games that died notoriously early (PB21/PB24), let's not let this one be the same...
Turn 26
I've finished my second worker and started chopping the settler, both workers will each chop a forest to complete the settler EOT30.
In other news, the game just had its first whip last turn by Mardoc/Adrien. They are IMP/PHI Aztec, my guess is that they went straight Mining/Bronze working. Went worker first and now just whipped their settler, I expect them to settle their 2nd city next turn.
They have only have a size one capital, one worker and can't connect their cities since they can't build roads either. Strange opening and I can't say I like it.

You've got to admit, it is a pretty casual pace

I mean it's inevitable to have pauses every now and then in these game, but 3 pauses in 3 consecutive turn seems to be a worrying trend.
Anyways, the current turn proceeded without any problems or pauses.
I realized that I haven't showed where I planned to put my second city, so here:
It's got copper, wet corn and pigs first ring, which means it will make 15 foodhammers per turn at size 3, which will be pretty good in the early game.
Last turn Mr.Cairo revolts to Slavery. A good chance that he just finished his settler, assuming he knows what he's doing.
2nd cities should be planted shortly.
Speaking of which, Adrien/Mardoc still haven't settled their 2nd city despite whipping their capital to size 1 three turns ago.
I think I will keep track of people's city plants if I can get the table generator working.

Both Adrien and Mr.Cairo indeed settled their 2nd cities as predicted.

Moved the settler in position and revolted.
Demos, last place in almost everything.
Interesting game I had today, where my priest opponent turned into Jaraxxus but have the Lightning Jolt hero power. Elise is a fun card.

New city settled:
Both workers roaded the copper hill to establish a trade connection to the capital, and then will pasture the pig, road, farm corn, and finally mine the copper. Going to grow to size 3 and then build a worker.
The downside is that I will be connecting copper too soon, disabling my ability to build warriors. I always seems to run into this problem in my games, but is quite unavoidable here since the road on the hill just does so much.
BGN also revolted to Slavery on the same turn as myself while Dreylin and AT settled cities.
