A mechanics question: can you capture a teammate's cities? I don't think you can in AW, but AWBW is unpredictable in edge-case mechanics

I haven't tried, but I'm guessing you can't. Probably makes the game too vulnerable to griefing.

Of course I'd love to get the Comm Tower, but capturing a property so close to Bamboozle's territory is going to be easier said than done.

Actually, if we want to be cheeky CH could rush for the Comm Tower right away. After you have the neutral base captured, load an Infantry onto the Lander and drop it south. From there you can move onto the city 4N of AB HQ and either capture it or more on to the Comm Tower depending on his response. Or just start capturing all of the cities in the area, it'll take me and AB a while to make our way there.

Just so you know, I got start and end pictures for Day 5, I just didn't get any reporting done--hopefully shouldn't need my input to move infantry if your turns come up before I get the report done sometime tomorrow.

So here's how we stood at the end of Turn 5:

One general trend I can see is that we're being very aggressive with our captures, while AWBW are being more conservative (except in the middle, where both players appear to be mostly mirrored). This means that the AWBW team has more funds in the short term, but we have access to the contested middle earlier. Here's what I did for this turn:

Nothing that special--I considered building a tank out of my forward base, but there are too many cities in the center that need capturing. Maybe next turn I'll do that. I also need to decide where I'm going with my forward infantry--do I send it towards the command tower to harass, or just capture more stuff in the area? Relatedly, I assume I want to put both infantry on the lander and have it drop more units near the front (probably dropping on city and woods).

Update from the end of my Day 8 turn:





In the west, CH and Nyvelion are beginning to clash. CH has a significant property advantage and will likely capture more this turn, enabling him to put additional pressure on his opponent. Bamboozle of AB is starting to add troops to the front as well however, and CH is going to lose a city this turn to him (although that city was a reach anyway).


In the center, combat has yet to really occur, as both Fenn and Bamboozle work to capture the substantial number of neutral properties still remaining. The most notable event currently is Xmo making a surprising number of capture in the area (mostly at the expense of his own teammate)- I'll have to divert some troops to this part of our theater if the pressure on Fenn is too great.


In the east, my aggressive expansion has given me a small funding advantage over Xmo, whose main gains have been cities I'd have assigned to Bamboozle. I'm amassing artillery to secure my holdings in the contested, property-rich strip of land between us, and will then push on his HQ after I've built sufficient offensive forces. I need to produce more tanks soon, Xmo can't easily remove them if they're parked on cities (neither can I, for that matter- hence why both of us have parked tanks on cities, holding positions despite being within striking distance of each other).

No pic since I'm on my Wii U, but I finally got the turn back...and mostly forgot what I was supposed to be doing

To be fair, I haven't really had a plan other than "capture a bunch of properties". Any suggestions on what I should be doing? I know I want to do all the captures in range (including the one by Fenn if that's okay), but after that I'm clueless
