[SPOILERS] Cornflakes and Q Eat 'Em for Breakfast!

Yeah sorry for spamming.

Idk really.
It greatly depends on revolt plans - porcupines our only really hammer city (which btw we should correct by making the SW one hammer focussed), but I think it should go for GLH atm, and nowhere else can really build a monastery and missionaries in time.
On balance I think we let it auto spread until we convert, and send the missionary to the cap for happy.
(Wild idea: send it to mars to pop borders. Doughnut is probably the best city for pumping anyway (once it takes the cow))

Actually now that I think of it thats not that wild after all.
I think id lean mars if we go GLH.
As a border city it needs it and that gives it the utility to ignore the library (whip military/lighthouse instead).

Can't get to sleep, so Civ time ...

First of all, that Chariot belongs to purple AZZA NOT gray 2metra. Which means peace saved Mars (thanks for the advice Lewwyn, but I'll stick with peaceful-as-much-as-possible ... or to be more honest, warful-only-when-I-get-direct-payoff). Actually peace didn't completely save Mars because I did put enough hammers into the impi there so that I could finish it with a 1-pop whip because I knew that Azza had a chariot up there somewhere. But peace still saved us a 9xp axe and a very inconvenient whip.

I'll offer OB for 3gpt. It's worth it because we can map him out and locate is copper/iron. Plus I'm naive enough to think that he won't go all-out war-till-death against us. If he takes OB I don't pillage the road.

GLH sounds good. I'll do that in Porcupine. With vision along the Azza border I have enough time to spot incoming invasions and whip axes/walls if needed.

I actually considered sending the Missionary to Mars lol Like you said, I'll save us an unnecessary early library whip.

I favor immediate revolt to Confucianism. We have to spent the anarchy sometime (unless we wait for a GA), so we might as well get the happy benefit as soon as possible wherever we have Confu. I'll swap Doughnut from galley to monastery. Galley is not necessary, and doughnut does not need anything else ATM. We can pair OrgRel with HR and save our GA for Bureaucracy.

Did I say anything about hitting Commodore? I definitely thought about it while posting the report from last turn, so maybe you were reading my mind. I wouldn't do that without sufficient preparation. Since we have OB let's get the layout of his cities and see if our circumnavigation can allow us to fork a couple coastal cities. For now the policy is peace ... we don't want him marching on us from the east now (or holding a grudge for the whole game) over the price of two workers.

Can we afford to wait on religion till after GLH?
That'll make it more likely to work. Anyway if we go for immediately wait for the workboat ti finish.
If immediate I think we have to convert the cap - otherwise its not worth it.
Doughnut is putting up a settler for the dye first right?

duh about the chariot - try 2gpt for now. The difference between 10 and 20 gold is big.
I'll sim out the calender tomorrow
[Aside: every time I played through the sim it kept wanting me to build Stonehenge cry]

Nah the BC attack idea was lumped into the spoiler.

I'm more then considering mars - I think its the way to go if we don't convert right away.
Do you want me to handle the sim?

I make people nervous smile AT covered is worker on the border with an archer, Commodore moved an axe up into The Labyrinth.

2metra founded a city 2N of Azza's chariot, to the north of Mars.

I'm thinking whip lighthouse whip at Mars once we get to the happy cap. Lighthouse will pay off in about 30 turns (1fpt from fish covering for the 30 food cost of growing 2 pop). It would actually be more efficient though to whip now from 4->2 than from 6->4

I spread Confu into Mars, and on the turn roll we got a free Confu spread in Grand Slam jive However I don't think we can get free spreads to any of our other cities. IRRC you need a trade route for a free spread. Mars has trade routes to Grand Slam and Doughnut, but both of those cities are already Confu and both only have Trade Routes with Commodore ... TGLH would give us a couple more domestic routes in Doughnut and Mars.

Our first event occurred: The happiness hits associated with the other choices would have been crippling, so I opted for the happiness for 10-turns. We're able to take advantage of the happy in Doughnut immediately ... Grand Slam and Volcano in two turns once they grow.

Here's the explorations in CommoLand and the Dye's area to his north. Unfortunately the only food in range of the Dye's is far away. We can settle on the southernmost Dye and get corn with a border pop (missionary would be useful).

We met Jowey in Automated TellerLand. He offered Alphabet for Code of Laws trade. I refused because Azza has some more gold to throw into the deal:

I think I can keep our sandbox updated for you, but you have to post the one that you updated (maybe you did and I Just missed it). I stopped at T67 because that's when Grand Slam got inadvertently whipped and I got fed up with microplanning.

How do we fake the +1 happiness for 10 turns from the event? Just give us a silver on one of our unworked mines until the 10 turns is up?

Azza accepted the trade. That cuts 2 turns of saving gold off the time to Calendar. It also allows us to trade tech with Azza and 2metra now.

I think that 2metra is the only person without Mathematics, so we might as well sell it to him before someone else does. I doubt he'll take it though unless we throw in a bit more gold. Let's see what he offers.

Now its your turn to mix them up (you traded with AT not azza) wink

The sandbox was uploaded a couple of pages back (it says T67 still because I didn't update that), as you might notice in the GLH photos a lot of the whip anger is off (porcupine has a colloseum to prevent it having any effect).
So yeah silver will be plenty).

If we plant the dye city there a) when can we do it by, b) what units can we have in the area?
I really think we need 2-3 impis there to thwart any aggresion (one impi on the hill to the north of mars).
Because of that I think a bunch of our places should whip in some impis/axes to tide us over till our army comes back from the azza war.
Bleh at dyes, still worth it for the happy.
There definitely no fish to the north of it?

I think mars should whip out an impi to guard the 2metra border and put overflow into a lighthouse - there's no urgency while we're working only one tile.
That's not how religion spread works FYI.
It doesn't need a TR just the potential for one.
Now I want a spread in porcupine
. Please sir, may I have some more?

I already put 13 hammers into the settler so it can be whipped as soon as Doughnut grows to size 6 (next turn I think). Then it'll take about 4-5 turns of movement depending on it's exact location. Should we wait to found until after Calendar comes in? I'm going to move the impi NE-NE next turn to see if there's a possibility of more seafood, but right now we can't see any.

2-pop whips are more efficient since we have enough food to grow back to the happy cap before the 10-turn unhappiness runs out. I can put 1 hammer into an axe, then 2-pop it and put the overflow into a lighthouse rather than whipping the impi. Or I could use the overflow from an axe whip to finish the impi. An axe/impi pair should be sufficient for defense in both cities. That is enough to thwart opportunistic attacks (like ours against Azza wink). Our southern border is secure for the time. I just whipped two axes down there, bringing us to 3 axes and 1 archer for the two cities. An impi for fogbusting wouldn't hurt though. Should I bring the Comm/AT scouting impis home after mapping out their territory or should I continue into Jowy and TT territory if I can get OB? Out west our army is home, but we have to leave it guarding Pork Chop.

Keep in mind that we're paying 9gpt currently in military upkeep (plus a couple supply for the impi that are away). Any unit we build cost another gpt, which we can't afford right now.

i'm thinking that right now a GProphet for a shrine might be better than an academy. In addition to the gold it would assist the free spread of the religion too. 3-4 more turns and we'll see what GP we roll.
