[Spoilers] Cometh the Messiah - Varn Gosam and the Malakim

Square Leg Wrote:Hey Ilios,

I know that times must be pretty shitty after putting so much effort into this game - but the peanuts would love to see things from your point of view. nod

Mr. Yellow Wrote:Come now Ilios, you're thread's been pretty awesome this far. You can't just end it with a whimper. alright

Show us now that you can continue this to the end. Prove the world that you are a man! crown

Now get in there and finish the fight! hammer

Heh...

What can I say, there about a billion Spectres coming from the east (alright, about fifteen really). Has someone mentioned before that those Vampires are ridiculously overpowered?

My Heroic Epic city has been razed, and Lugh will probably be gone next turn as well. I whipped a Training Yard from scratch, in case Darrel wants to keep it (I doubt it though).

Sol Invictus has been captured, and Darrell main force is two turns from attacking the core (Horus).

Horus has upgraded two Archers, and I whip a Corpse from scratch.

In the West, two of my cities in the Luchuirp lands have been razed by Uberfish.

Unfortunately, I can only safely finish a Beast in Ra, hadn't counted on the disappearing culture while the city is in revolt.

So En-Kai whips a Corpse from scratch as well, instead of finishing the Beast.

Uberfish has about eight Leaves Priests incoming (who will be joined by 8 Tigers soon methinks).

I used the free Sage to fire of a Golden Age, and switch to Theocracy/StW/Military state/Conquest.

I upgrade a Stonewarden to an Eidolon, and have him join his three brothers in Helios, to prepare for the last stand.

I don't think I'll be able to hold Horus...

I think I could have held an attack from either side, even the Calabim's stupidly powerful Vampire stack, but this two-front war has pretty much sealed my fate...

Five more turns and I'd have had the troops to hold them off...

This does sound kind of familiar lol

*bump*

Any chance of an update on how you're going to hold of the forces of Evil and Darkness?

I'm not.

I've retreated most of my army inside Helios, which has build a Wall, and will finish a Herbalist. I can build Mardero in two turns for the fun, we'll see how long it takes before the city falls as well. smile

Any preference on who you'd most like to take down? lol With Mardero you'd have enough units to swing it one way or the other if you worked out a deal.

Erm, I'm going to assume Helios was assigned to the Calabim when the Unholy Pact was made.

I don't think I'll have the forces to take back my lands, but I'm pretty sure I'll pin down a lot of Elven and Vampires forces.

This is what's left of the great Malakim Empire:

Finished Mardero, and as you can see, the Armageddon Counter has reached 51, so unless Uberfish can Life 1 at least two ruins, next turn should see the arrival of another Horseman!

Damn. Getting down to one city sucks.

Make sure those bastards know they've been in a fight. hammer

Heh, I'll try...

Incidently, I've been having loads of fun with the Grimoire, summoning a Pit Beast last turn, and turning my Adept Sundered this turn (extra damage, extra chance of gaining exp).

What?

Hey, I need to find my enjoyment in this game from somewhere! smile

Nice work! This is what a book of vile horrors should be used for tongue

How are you going to promote Mardos? Are you going take advantage of the horseman distraction? Or to try to raise the AC even higher to cause MORE distractions!
