[SPOILERS] Lewger goes for the Bigwyn

I was thinking the same - those spikes look like BW + IW to me. That's unfortunate, but the EP spending seemed to indicate he was after sareln. He's got an oracle to win. Well have Stonehenge though, right?

neither the oracle nor stonehenge are particularly worth conquering for.

I wish i knew how close Serdoa was :/. I hope he is close to serdoa's southern border.

we clearly need iron working fast. is it safe to get organized religion first? Judaism will be gone by the time we finish iron working.

in the meantime, build chariots - best military we can :/.

I think if we build enough chariots, but don't SHOW chariot we can make him think we're building axes and be a less desirable target.

You know, he might also want to go for someone with a less warlike reputation anyway.

does serdoa have a builder reputation? you have an "rage" reputation, I'm not sure that translated to a fighter reputation. you did wonder whore in a pitboss you advertised you would be a mercenary, after all. And you won the always peace game.
I have no reputation in civ.

the answer of course, is this: if Azza plans to attack Serdoa, we should let him do his thing and avoid showing him the chariots as you say. if azza plans to attack us, we should cause him damage however we can.

I don't know for sure who he plans to attack though :/

ok, after a chat with lewwyn, we have somewhat of a plan. if azza does decide to attack us we may be screwed :/.

1.finish poly and monotheism, try to land judaism
2. tech archery. barracks after granary will pop out protective archers w 3 experience - so city garrison 2 will be nice. (sucks that protective no longer have drill, but oh well).
3. capital grows to size 6 and finishes chariot in 3 turns - quick settler will plant the wines/cow site, not aggressively claiming the gold. Im thinking 1 NW of the wine to share the corn?
4. keep our power rating well above serdoa's.
5. play it by ear. if we are still in fear, research IW. if we seem safe, sailing.
If we have a larger power than serdoa's (and maybe azza too), and we are protective/IND, while serdoa is charismatic/IND, hopefully azza will find serdoa more appetizing than us. I also think it is encouraging that so far azza has expanded towards serdoa and not towards us.

lewwyn - I think achilleus should continue SE, go around the lake, and explore south as far as possible. Gilgamesh (warrior west of the lake) should go SE, SE and plant on the forest E,E of the stone, to check for incoming troops from that direction.

btw, the scout is at .5/1.0 health after the warrior suicided. he gained 1 exp and is healing in place for 5 turns :/.

btw, we claimed the #1 score spot after building stonehenge. I didn't expect that. smile. number 4 is azza's capital, #5 TGL city (nakor?), the top 3 are unknown. #1 is a size 7 city, yuck.

demos after switching off :
we are working the grassland river mine, and hill furs over a cottage in Gilgamesh for micro reasons, which inflates our GNP and MFG slightly at the expense of food. still, our economy is quite nice, food and GNP are excellent, MFG is ok. If we didn't have Rome as our closest neighbor and no copper I would be feeling quite confident at our chances right now :/.

other points:
- we have a higher population than azza now.
- serdoa only has 2 cities still? I thought he settled a third city? man, he really does seem like an easier target than us, I hope Azza sees it that way as well. of course we don't know serdoa's metal situation.

How do rbmod protective archers deal with praets? Does it take three or four each to kill them?

And I don't think we want Judaism in Odyssey any more. Makes it far too attractive!

hmm, that reminds me. prats are only 7 power here, not 8. smile

we won't be attacking out with archers, so Im not sure what you're asking.

Just how many do we need per praet not to lose a city? Presumably there isn't much we can do about a choke.

I dunno. but it should be easy enough to test in worldbuilder, i'll do it after Christmas.

it also depends on what promotions he uses. If he knows our army will just be war chariots and archers, he'll be better off with city raider :/. But if he fears we have a horde of axemen (cross fingers) he'll have shock promotions and combat 1. our archers would be much stronger in that case smile.

Fixed the micro in Odyssey to finish the Granary EOT next turn, but we won't finish Poly this turn as a result. NBD, overflow will be just as good.
