We received suttree's graphs:
I don't think that leaves much room for other relevant units expect those 5 axes that we already know of.
I'm holding myself from playing and leave the turn for you! I better walk to grocery and make dinner with girlfriend instead!

Play it. I can't for a while and I want to know what our archer reveals on the island!
Edit: So Yurimack were the aggressor? Was that to secure the second gold site?

Turn 78
It is an island! We've gone from -11 to -13 gpt at 100% research while our beakers have gone up from 41 to 50! Iron working is due in 2 turns now. Then Calender would be 12 turns at our current rate.
No new resources revealed, but there are more forests than I'd hoped and we might be about to reveal iron (and when are we getting horses again?). We're going to need to keep the bowman NW of the city in case of enemies so Lunch has his exploring work cut out... I want to load him on the galley and drop him north of the peak to start scouting - there are going to be more good city sites and potential contacts in that direction rather than in the jungle direction.
Then suddenly a great general was born.
WilliamLP and Yuris were logged in, but the chat log makes me think it was William. Also who could have got that great scientist?
I declared on Suttree and offered peace. I also took our EPs off him as a gesture of good will and put them back on m_h as a gesture of bad will. We'll have to see what his intentions are... We could offer our world map as an incentive, but that isn't an option as we want to keep our secrets. Ended turn, but didn't change any tile assignments - will have to check the save stack when i get home.
@Mardoc - great idea, the first bowman to reach the new world (in 925BC) is named Mardoc in your honour!

This sandbox should be up to date with the revealed terrain, although it's 7 beakers behind on research.

Yay! Self-made guacamole, Pulp Fiction and an island city.. Quite a good evening. I wonder whether many or any of our opponents have IC trade routes yet..
Very interesting news about GG and GS as well! GG is surely WilliamLP and GS is probably from one of our PHI opponents, who most likely also has a better commerce capital than we do..
Tile assignments seemed good to me and I'm pretty sure that's how they are in the save stack as well. And huge thanks for updating that sandbox!!
Btw, does our bowman heal now as you moved it into the city? That's probably the right call anyways because if suttree moves in he'll see the bowman and hopefully offer peace back..
I didn't quite catch your idea regarding the bowman movements on the island, but I trust you that you are not gifting France to anyone who wants to inside. Unlike in the real world..
Hmm.. Am I missing something, I think I would have been even more desperate in buying attention from our Lurkers and offered to name all our bowmen after Mardoc for 30 thread views..
And yeah, let's take our time with our worker and scout moves next turn and see what's the best way to deal with suttree. What I'm thinking here, is that bowman+scout could be a safe way to protect a worker if we would decide to move it next to suttree's axe.
And now some sleep! I'll have a long day at work tomorrow, but we should still have a lot of time until we need to do something about T79.
Btw, if suttree offers peace for world map I give you the full right to do the judgement call. I would prefer not giving it to him, but...
EDIT: And AH probably after Calendar. We should have totally taken it before Writing..

Bored.
If a PHI civ got that scientist that would be one of:
- Our neighbour dtay (PHI/AGG) - would we get notification for him?
- Jowy/The black sword (EXP/PHI) - surely too busy with the oracle for an early library.
- Lewwyn (PHI/SPI) - one of the quickest out to five cities, so must have been working all available tiles mustn't he?
- Retep (PHI/PRO) - a bit of early warfare (presumably he's how WilliamLP generated the great general - does PHI work for great general points too? Perhaps it was Retep who got the GG on defence?) and a city behind our count.
So I'm going to guess it's Retep. I bet you a cookie. And that he got the GG too. Although I'm not going to risk any cookies on that. If not then dtay is top suspect. I'm not sure what you'd use him for at this point though - an academy won't get many extra beakers will it? Bulbing Maths or Alphabet seems pointless. Settle him? Early golden age?
If someone could use the lurker thread to mock me about how wrong I am I'll appreciate it when I read through after the game.
Edit: Suttree took peace.

Not in BtS - you want Imperialistic for that.

I think not, but I'm not sure. I think we would need city visibility?

Aaand I'm ready to bet against you! Although maybe retep's low score is not because of some military struggle but because of sacrificing early growth for a GS.. Well, I still put my money on dtay or Lewwyn. If you make me choose I take Lewwyn for the opposite reason: High score, doing well, now even better.. Let's hope not.

Well, if somebody has a good commerce capital.. With palace + gold/gems/silver + some riverside cottages and resources you get easily ~25-30 raw commerce.. Extra 12-15 beakers would be a decent improvement for our economy.. It's all about snowballing: Extra beakers -> Earlier Currency -> Earlier CS -> Earlier Bureacademy capital -> win Liberalism. If we had river tiles in our capital, we would be doing that, or at least trying.. Let's hope that whoever got the GS does not have anything too juicy over there.

Grrreat news! Building continues! It seems we have a friend and it's almost a pity that we have to ruin that friendship by settling towards him..
About next turns worker micro: Let's move our workers S of Dunkirk (banana) and E of Dunkirk. I think that's better than SE of Dunkirk (which I proposed earlier), because it will help in our worker movements towards a couple of useful forest and dyes tiles.
