Just a quick thought (as if my posts re: this game weren't! ):
I echo that we fully saw the cultural attempt coming and fully believed it wouldn't work. Nothing would have changed the plans other than...actually getting the mechanic correct But Sullla did a completely good faith test, so it's just one of those things.
Thanks to Sullla and Speaker for letting me team up with them. My contribution to the game and thread may have been much less, but my victory signature line will be much more boastful to make up for it Looking back we were compatable teammates in the sense that we get along and have a long history of voicechatting, which is a great way to play as a team. That said, a combination of factors (Sullla and Speaker having much more synched schedules and hence opportunity to play and plan together, me having bad/less land, and deliberately slowing my civ early to boost the team via running specialists and sending early units to allies) meant I didn't honestly contribute very much. Still, S&S are gracious and fun people to play alongside of, and I'm glad I had another such opportunity. I conclude that nothing I did screwed up the game too badly, which isn't a bad run for a support player, right?
