[SPOILER] Asoka of the Vikings (Nakor & Gaspar)

+1
This thread has gotten increasingly entertaining since you bored me senseless for the first 50 turns.
Completed: SG2-Wonders or Else!; SG3-Monarch Can't Hold Me; WW3-Surviving Wolf; PBEM3-Replacement for Timmy of Khmer; PBEM11-Screwed Up Huayna Capac of Zulu; PBEM19-GES, Roland & Friends (Mansa of Egypt); SG4-Immortality Scares Me

I have to run.
Nakor Wrote:I'm very interested to see how he reacts to that, so feel free to send it off. You're not going to try and get a NAP with LP until turn 300? ![]() Gold Ergo Sum Wrote:+1 That basically coincided with us ending PBEM12. That game was such a boring slog that I think it sucked away my love of Civ. I can't speak for Nakor, but ending that made all my threads more entertaining. Even if you don't like FFH, I highly recommend my FFH2PBEM7 thread for humor value. ![]() novice Wrote:You need to Gaspar riled up before the fun starts. Or was that Lewwyn... Riling up Lewwyn = war. Riling up Gaspar = over the top antics. Nakor Wrote:Gaspar, feel free to end turn, don't have the time to take a look today. Done. We also got a fairly interesting email from plako.
Quote:Hi Nakor, There's a piece of me that really doesn't like a 4 player dogpile. Primarily because too many chances for it to get screwed up. I also think rego can't be trusted at all, and he's probably been told. Given his relationship with plako and unwillingness to commit, he's probably in bed with LP. That's particularly obvious since LP has finally opened his borders to them. rego, if/when you read this after the game, you're an idiot. You're too far behind for the GLH to catch you up now, you need to slow down LP, not try and tech in peace for another 100 turns and then attack plako. By the time you obsolete GLH, Parkin, Locke, plako and us at a minimum will have Infantry if not Tanks. Anyway, I think plako's ideas make sense. I'd like to include a couple of clauses: If there is any unit gifting, explicit terms that those units are never used against the gifting player, and also some sort of logical hammer exchange. I agree we need a specific end date for the alliance, but I'd also like to define an end condition (when are we stopping) and then at least 10T of cooldown NAP after the end of the alliance. Probably more like 20. I don't want our navy/army up in Egomaniacstan and Locke/plako getting frisky on our borders. I'd like to see a predetermined land split. Primarily, who's getting what determined ahead of time. And we should get more of it since we have no land. I do think we need to make sure everyone's committed. Obviously, Locke is going to attack Adlain, and that's going to make his commitment reduced. I worry that mackoti attacks luddite in some sort of blood feud and it just ends up being us and plako. That's a loss, we really need luddite to put pressure on an additional front. Thoughts?
